I’m two weeks from sleeve to Bypass and I have only lost 4lbs since surgery. My doc said I need to eat more calories and hit my protein. I just don’t have a desire for soups, hate milk so protein drinks I just can’t stomach anymore and everything so sweet. I been only getting 200 cals or less. I have one more week before I get to chew on food lol. Has anyone else had an unquenchable thirst? No matter what I drink or how much I am always dry mouth. Only thing that helps is popsicles.

Had my bypass on 21st so 2 days post op and I went out shopping today! This is sooo different than my sleeve 8 years ago. I think I was in the bed for at least a week with pain. I think getting up more and my doctor prescribing me some topical pain relief as well. So far no hunger so I am just trying to keep ice and water in the little medicine cups. It helps me not be too overwhelmed. Nauseous for sure, And gas! I will try the heating pad. I TOO was up 4 lbs do to all the iv fluids and gas they pump in you. But hoping to see that drop soon! Good luck to all!

I am finishing day 1 of liquid diet and it wasn’t so bad. I am kind of use to sugar free and artificially sweetners because I have done Keto on and off for awhile. I am to drink 3 shakes and 2 protein bars and unlimited broth, sugar free jello and popsicles. Oh and a boiled egg if needed. Why boiled egg I don’t know but I ate it! I haven’t felt deprived but I will prolly get bored soon. Just hoping the next 13 go by quickly! Good luck all!
