I was banded on the 23rd & don't get to go off full fluids until the 12th. I am so hungry.. It's driving me crazy. I take it by days though. Yesterday wasn't hungry at all? Today It's been all day long... I think if I could get to the mushie stage it will be better. I am going to try the protein water too. Thanks for the info.

I know you're right. I haven't quite figure out how to get the juice off of pizza though? I can't wait till you get banded. Don't let that stupid insurance company discourage you. You are getting this! & I'm here for ya.

Girl, I know you are starving but I have started to think about you when I eat and ways we can still eat some of the same foods like taking the broth off the food and drinking that. Hey got to think of the good ways for us to have the good taste but not the junk our familys eat..Just glad I get to be there for you through this. I know its hard but I am going to be there no matter what.

Help! I feel horrible 10 days out!

I'm so sorry! I'm 8 days post op & have had a couple of small problems. I got to come home the day of surgery, but the next evening I started getting nausious & then vomiting. I went back to the emergency room just in case & apparently I wasn't drinking enough fluids? They gave me some nausea medicine & two bags of IV. I immediately felt better. Maby it is what you need too? I would call your surgeons office. Best of luck to you. Sha -
Hi Jody, I did my pre-op's yesterday. My surgery is scheduled for dec. 23rd. Which means that I should be coming home on X-mas eve morning. I'm glad that you & your husband are having this done together. My husband is eating & I am starving.... LOL. I wish you both the very best! Sharonette

realize band vs. lap band

Sorry guys, I must have gotten the port placements switched? So what I am seeing is that they are alot alike. What is the difference in the reservior being pre-divided or not pre-divided? How does the pre-divided work with fills? -
realize band vs. lap band

I was just wondering what you guys thought about this subject. I just met with my surgeon on the 12th & he also is giving me the option of which one to pick. He said that the lap band port is a little taller & smaller around, while the realize port is shorter & bigger around. The lap band port goes on the right side while the realize port goes on the left. He said that they are both good wide bands and that the main difference is the web pages. But then he went on to say that the lap band comes in a bigger around size which makes it easier to get around a larger stomach. Then he made me feel really good by saying that if I was bigger, he would want me to use the lap band. But, being that I really wasn't that BIG I get to choose. I'm a 3x no one ever tells me that I'm not that big! That was totally cool. I don't know which way to go though. Maby I should get the Realize band just because I can? LOL
