Meredith - You go girl keep up the good work!!! Peas - Does your knees hurt due to all the walking or did something happen that I missed? Janet - I just wanted to say thanks for the calorie advice a couple weeks ago. I saw my surgeon today and he said exactly what you said 800-900 calories during my weight loss phase. But if I was eating mostly Protein it could be a little more. So i am going to take your advice a switch up my calorie level often so as not to get into a plateau.l I have 16 pounds to reach my biggest goal which is too get below 200 pounds.

Hi Everyone, I live in North Ga. I went to Dr Daly at Northside. I was banded on July 2nd. The Hospital stay was great and they also have a support group there. I just love Dr Daly. He did my Mom's bypass surgery 8 years ago so I did not want to go to anyone else.
-
Which Dr are you going to go with?
-
I am not sure if you can go to any Dr for a fill but since you just moved here it should not be a problem. You can call my Dr who is at Northside hospital his name is Dr Daly his number is 404-252-0433. If his office can't help maybe they can tell you who can.

When are you due? I bet you are ready. -
The You Tube thing is funny. Alex was in Taekwondo started in Elementary school. Once he got his black belt in 2008 he was going to continue but then he wanted to do other sports. So we have let him. It had helped alot with the discipline and the respect and honor for other people. I got my purple belt but then I lost my job and have such weird hours I have not gone back. I liked it though. It has been a year since I left and I still visit the studio because I had made friends with the owners and other people their I like to check in.

So first I want to say the food network channel is like crack for fat people Sometimes I catch myself watching the unwrapped show which talks about how all this sweet stuff and other junk food is made and then I want it. peas, Hugs with your Dad and your health issues. Nelson is so cute it reminds me when Alex started taking classes. He is now a Black Belt. Phyllser, Love the bear sign I almost fell out of my chair.

Orea, Can I 3rd that? Let us know Kimaly, I love swimming to I grew up with a pool and lived 45 min from the beach when I lived in Fl. Now in Ga their is nothing around (Beach) and you can't swim in most places all year around here. -
I am glad everything went well. Yeah the liquid diet gets old but it will get better just remember to practice consuming things slow that helps as you progress. Hang in their you are doing great. If you can walk a little that helps with the gas pains.

How cute baby tortoises. That must been fun to take care of all the critters.

I have the exercise issue right now too. I do good then fall off again. i can walk around my building where i work on my breaks but I get so caught up on work I don't do it. I need to make myself do it since I hate sitting all day. Come on we can do it. Let's make a pack to get started. -
Janet, When you spell it out that way It does make more sense. I like to eat to it is just sometimes I feel tight so I drink a hot beverage in the AM. Most of the time coffee . My day is something like this 8am - on the way to work so I drink an 8-16 oz coffee 10:30am - I have a 15 min break so I eat either a Protein Bar or drink a Protein shake or snack on yogurt or dry Kashi friends Cereal or a high Fiber low cal cereal. 1pm - I have either 3 oz tuna or a small kid size chili or soup 3:45pm - Another 15min break so I might have a snack or not depending if I am hungry. Between 7-8p - i am finally home from work and have made dinner for the family usually a protein and vegs or some kind of 1 pot wonder (to quote you) Snack about 10pm - popcorn or a snack bar like fiber 1 or yogurt either sweet snack or salty I try to stay 100 cals or less sometimes with the fiber 1 bars it is 140cal Bed is usually between 11-12 then up again at 7:15 to start my dad I know fiber and protein can keep you full that is why I try to get alot of fiber in but the catch is the Water if I do not drink enough it can be bad like yesterday. When you eat alot of fiber you are supposed to drink alot of water.Water I am trying to get my 64 ozs in but since I am all day taking calls I hardly get a chance to take a sip. I used to walk on my breaks but then got lazy I would like to start back but when it is break it is usually running for the bathroom and then back to the grind. With journaling the last week I range between 1000 - 1300 calories a day depending. This weekend kind of went hell in a hand basket and foot loose and fancy free so I was way over mostly because I did not right it down.

You know what I think? Alot of us that are still around on the board maybe we are all dealing with the same stuff, mental, plateaus, and other issues with life. At least we are all still here talking to each other. -
All, I am better today but it did not feel like the pain went away until after 4pm EST I am finally going to eat something in just a few. i was drinking Protein shakes and hot tea just to get through. I did take the pills on an empty stomach because I have not eaten anything since lunch yesterday so when I took the pills last night. I had nothing in my pouch. Oh well lesson learn. I do not want to go through that again. Janet, Back to the calorie question you said you ate 800-1200 during your weight loss phase isn't 800 calorie too small. I go see my doctor on the 28th so I will ask him. Maybe I will take that calorie test where you breathe in a tube. That helped be to know what my body burns before I had my surgery.

ok so tonight i had the worst time ever with a stuck pill. I took 2 tiny laxative pills (My fault not enough veggies or water). They got stuck together I guess and I kept PBing but they would not go down or come back up I called the Dr because I was not thinking and he said to drink hot tea It has been an hour and a half since the whole thing started and it feels better but it also feels like they are still stuck in my throat. The doctor on call said to come to the hospital and get scoped if it does not get better which does not sound like fun so I am praying it goes down. Also the the liquid came out of the pills and tasted nasty. OMG I feel so horrible. The last fill I had was in July so I guess i took the pills to close together. I thought it was no big deal since they were so small. WRONG !!
