I am so glad that there are other people that can relate to my same problem. I waited 7 weeks for my first fill and my Dr. makes you wait 6 weeks in between fills. He added 3.5 ccs on my first fill and I have no restriction. I have been trying to do this on my own by just walking away in the middle of meals. I have been exercising very hard every day, and not drinking with my meals. I could have been doing all of this on my own. I don't understand why they make you wait so long.

So most places accept it then?

I also had my surgery on 7/15 and am having the same problems. I feel no restriction but am just trying to be mentally strong on what and how much I eat. I am on soft foods. Today I had eggs in the morning, chicken salad for lunch and a protein shake for dinner. I am also working out every day which is making me feel a lot better!

I am hungry and trying to figure out what I can eat to get by. I don't feel any restraints from the band and don't want to do anything to worsen my situation. Just want to find something that if filling and tastes good.

That is so wierd that all of these are different. I was just two days clear liquids, five days full liquids, after 1 week soft food, and introduce solid foods two weeks after surgery. That is scary these are all so different!

I was denied also and just would not take no for an answer. I went to the qualifying supervisor and had her review it. I think it is all about who gets a hold of your file. Just drive them crazy, that is what I did! Banded last week!

I did not have any that I was aware of either, until I had a sleep study and found out I had Sleep Apnea. That is what got me approved. You never know!

I have been banded six days now and yesterday, I started feeling hungry. I started eating soft foods yesterday. I don't feel like there is any restriction. I have not been drinking while eating and trying to eat small amounts, but I am scared I won't make it through six weeks of this before my first fill. I have lost 14 pounds since I started the liquid diet prior to surgery and don't want to gain it back. I would like to lose. Any suggestions?

I was banded by Schuster on 7/15/08. I was approved by Anthem but the whole process took about 3 months. Good luck!
