that's incorrect. Visalus is a tri-blend of protein. So 3 different types or protein - yes one of those is soy. However, it's specially processed to remove isoflavones that can impact estrogen - so it's not a problem for those who worry about figroids, etc. You can research more of this to find out the exact process. The shakes seem to be a little lower in protein grams than other shakes, but it's a much better blend. plus, look at the sugar. less than 1 gram of sugar. i was looking at some of the shakes that many people post about drinking and they are drinking 20 grams - 200 grams of sugar! WHAT!?!?!!? plus low fat, low sodium, gluten free and lactose free. i dont know if these shakes are good for bariatric patients. i hope so because i have my surgery on the 21st and love these over about anything else. either way, the comment of them being only soy protein is incorrect, and the little soy that IS used isnt your typical soy.

I am having the Sleeve done in 2 weeks with Dr. Ponce in Tijuana. I have sooo many questions! 1) Could you describe your experience with the Dr., the staff, the hospital and the surgery? 2) How was the recovery? 3) Thoughts on Tijuana? 4) Thoughts on Hotel Lucerna? 5) Where did you stay if you stayed in San Diego or LA after? 6) What kind of pre-op diet and prep did you do? 7) How was post op? Vitamins? Protein shakes, etc? I'll have more questions, but figure this would get us started.

I've narrowed my search to 3, and from there the top of my list is: Dr. Armando Joya Amerimed Hospital Puerto Vallarta, Mexico I have many, many questions. If you know a patient of his, please refer them to this entry and encourage them to give me feedback. If you yourself are a patient, please give feedback. I'd like to speak with patients via email before finalizing my plans. For now, I have several questions. This gives his experience, education, background, etc. Can someone delete reviews because almost every review has glowing and positive comments. 3) How is the hospital? Many people say they how good it is. Is it really that great? Modern? Comfortable? 4) Talk to me about the process. You fly into Puerto Vallarta, and then get picked up? how long of a ride to the hotel or hospital? How long did you spend in the hospital? How long in the hotel? If you could have stayed in the hotel longer, would it have been a better flight home? 5) What was the cost you paid for the Sleeve (or whatever procedure you had)? What all did it include? Hospital? Hotel? Flight? Surgery? 6) Did you have any health issues after? How did you handle them? 7) Any regrets? 8) How long ago was your surgery? 9) Any hidden costs? 10) What all did you need to take with you?
