  2. heres a bit from my bcbs insurance plan, what i'm trying to understand is....the part in bold... Deductible/Coinsurance Calendar Year Deductible (CYD)* Individual In Network You have met $250.00 of your $250.00 deductible Out of Network You have met $250.00 of your $750.00 deductible Family In Network You have met $485.68 of your $500.00 deductible Out of Network You have met $485.68 of your $1,500.00 deductible Note: The Deductible is the amount you must pay for certain covered health care services before BCBSF/HOI begins to pay for covered services. Please refer to your schedule of benefits for services that are subject to the deductible. Coinsurance* In Network BCBSF pays 80% Out of Network BCBSF pays 60% Note: Coinsurance is a pre-established percentage of the allowed amount you are responsible for, if any, for covered services. The percentage shown above is the percentage of the allowed amount that BCBSF/HOI pays for covered services after the deductible is met, if applicable. Please refer to your schedule of benefits for services that are subject to the deductible. Plan Maximums Out-of-Pocket Maximum* Individual In Network You have used $142.15 of your $2,500.00 maximum Out of Network You have used $142.15 of your $2,500.00 maximum Family In Network You have used $142.15 of your $5,000.00 maximum Out of Network You have used $142.15 of your $5,000.00 maximum Note: The maximum you will be required to pay out of your wallet in a calendar year for covered services. This coinsurance maximum does not include any amount paid toward the deductible or any copayments and excludes pharmacy. Sooo does this mean the most I will have to pay in the most is 2,500? Regardless of the 20% copay? I'm very confused when it comes to insurance since i've only actually have had health insurance that i'm responsible for, for almost 2 years....loost loost, i've lost my marbles
  3. well the only comorbilities I have are my back problem i have a really bad disc that either requires phyisical therapy, and if that doesnt work surgery, or loose the weight, i'd rather just loose the weight than put myself through back surgery.... and i'm not sure about anything else, i told my doctor my feet go numb when i work out on the eliptical, like i've been laying on them all day long, i'm not sure what that is or why....but i have awesome work outshoes so i know those arent the problem.... Anyways As far as my CYD i've already met that for the year, ours works of of a single person to meet 250 deductable which i have, i had to have an mri for my back earlier this year, as well as went to the ER before then cause of the extreme back pain.... So I know if i qualify my insurance WILL pay 80%, and I the other 20%.. Still not sure what that will be yet, and still trying to figure out how to pay for it If i get it doen before next year, if i have to wait till next year i'll just use my income tax return to pay for it, but i'd like to get the surgery before I finish school and have to start working.... baah i talk alot
  4. HAHA uhm, well i dont have to be on a liquids diet, but i have to do the 6 mo. diet so i thought i'd try it and give it a go....so tonight i had a really small portion of lasanga (i'm married to an italian what can i say). And then I drank the vanilla slim fast shake, now i havent had slim fast ever or atleast i cant remember, and it was tasty wow i didnt think it was so good, i probably should have drank it slower but, when i was finished i was so full it was crazy, just like wow, who knew right? the vanilla was the only one i got, does anyone else have any recomendations that i could try? now i'm worried i'm going to drink the slim fast like i drink sodas oh god lol. probably not the best for me, cooontrol control. anyways i wanted to share my superb slim fast experience...lol

    blood thinner injections

well i havent had the surgery yet but when i had my galbladder removed they gave them to me in the hospital several times in the back of my arm, the area got pretty bruised up i even had a friend ask me if everything was okay at home, and i laughed and said it was blood thinner shots, they arent that bad, tho i dont think i could do them to myself, if i have to end up having them i will have my husband do them he'll get a kick out of that...
  8. absolutely! i plan to do so, i did it when i was pregnant imagine taking pictures of a growing belly ugh lol, but it was the little man growing inside that made it worth it, now time to take pictures of the shrinking belly, woo yes go for it.
  9. Well if I cant get the procedure done while i'm out of school whats the likely hood of having the surgery done and going back to school in 4 days? I am pretty reslient with the right ammount of drugs in me hah. jk, but c'mon for those who've had c-sections you have your baby, then 2 or 3 days later you are getting up and down all night and holding your baby walking around ect, and the c-section has to be much more painful, right? thats a doozy of an area stapled up. So yes or no, 4 days post op, walking around doing hair at cosmetology school, yay or nay?

    Recovery time?

nah i dont have to do manis anymore, or facials, i'm just in the hair portion of the class finally, i really dont want to miss school i've missed one day thusfar into my schooling and i felt so bad about it, i'm one of those students not wanting to miss anything i mean i'm okay with missing 2 days if i HAVE to you know? doing surgery on a wednesday then going back on monday? thats 4 days off...anything will be better than the back pain i have all day while i stand..

    Recovery time?

hmm my teachers can be very understanding, if i say i need a few days to rest, can i go in the back class room and work on my maniquinn they would probably say okay thats fine, just as long as i'm working on my services. We had a girl who was pregnant and she couldnt stand on her feet and i think for a month she either was at the front desk doing reception or in the back working on her maniquinn i never actually ever saw her at a station while she was there...idk.

  14. Well I started gathering information for approaching a surgeon. First I contacted my insurance company to see if it was even covered, and it was, I just had to do several things, weight history, attempted diet, exercise, or diet pills, psyciatric evaluations, seminar, proof of obesity, proof of health problems related to weight. Sooo far I have done a few things... Called the ER since I didnt have a family doctor 5 years ago, but i've had a few share of er visits, 15 to be exact in the past 5 years lol. So monday I will pick them up since the medical records lady has to go into storage to get them, how nice of her, she was sweet. Called my family doctor that i have now, to enquire about my past visit for my back problems, which i have issues with my disc, that either requires back surgery or physical therapy, or....weight loss.. (That should cover the proof of health problems right?) And the receptionist of my family doctor said, i should come in because my doctor can help me write out my request, and help me with my supervised weight loss regimin, hey maybe he'll do more than help me out and help figure out a plan for the supervised weightl loss, then he has a doctor in ST. Augustine florida that he reffers his lapband patients too, and the mass majority of the drs. in st. augustine are brilliant, and I looooove the hospital in st. augustine, I had my son there, and they are so sweet, its just a great hospital, even the ER staff there are impressive....anyways I still need to do the psyciatric evaluation, and the seminar... ONLY thing i'm worried about is, about 3 years ago I lived in atlanta for a year and a half, and i never went to the hospital or doctor....the whole time, crazy but i didnt, i hope that doesnt come back to bite me in the hiney, a whole year and a half of no records???? OH should i get the records from my ob when i was pregnant with the weight records? I'm worried cause if they see i was pregnant they'll say its just baby weight, which its not, cause i weighed 246 day I had logen, then 2 months later when I had to have my galbladder removed, right when i got my staples out i weighed 203, (I've put back on 30 pounds in the past year ugh!!!) SOO should I call my ob, and maybe the hospital where i had my galbladder removed as well, would me having my galbladder removed help my case, since i had stones? Sorry for all the questions again, i'm hoping to get this approved by august, i know its high hopes, but i have 3 weeks off from school in august which would be perfect for recooping from a surgery, probably wont happen that fast, but one can dream right?
