Who got thru losing a lot of weight without much saggy skin?
choopie replied to 🅺🅸🅼🅼🅸🅴🅺's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
thats a good question im also worried about saggy skin i have to lose over a 100 pounds i asked my Dr. and she said due to my age and the way my skin is i shouldn't have to much problem with saggy skin but i really think it is based on the person also how active they were b4 surgery because that also helps i doubt that a person that has to lose as much as i do will not have some sort of sag but i do plan to exercise as much as i can to try to diminish it but who know's im more interested in getting healthy and ill worry about the skin later lol Good luck -
13 days post-op and feeling desperate
choopie replied to lafrogura's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
hi guys im also in the same boat i can eat without feeling full quickly i dont get sick or feel like im gonna vomit my dr said its normal for some people to eat the same way they could before surgery pls dont worry about eating to much its ok if u gain some weight before your 1st fill remember it is a time for healing not for losing weight we will have plenty if time for that once we get an adjustment in my case i was on fluids for 10 days post op and i was not really hungry now im on mushies and yea i fell hungry alot and yea i do eat when i am hungry the difference is that instead of grabbing something that is not going to help me i grab a healthy snack applesauce, tuna, egg beaters a protein shake, sugar free pudding that way i know im eating and feeling satisfied but not guilty of course follow your Dr.s rules but pls understand that now is a time to heal get yourself healthy for the wonderful journey ahead for you. Good luck!!!! -
CT / Just banded 7-21-08 w/ questions
choopie replied to jpell1275's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
dont be surprised if u gained weight its from the fluids given to u while u were under surgery its not good to weigh yourself for a couple of wks your body is adjusting to everything u have to give it time i was banded on july 14th and the gas pains were horrible i kept saying what the hell did i get myself into but it does get better the meds like gas x dont really help walking is the best thing its not a miracle worker but it helps a little im still in some pain and when i got back home from surgery i did gain weight but i went for my check up yesterday and have lost 10 lbs so give yourself some time make sure u drink plenty of Water and walk as much as u can u will start to feel better soon some people feel better very fast and some of us like me it took some time i still have gas pain and im sore but it is better then the 1st week try extra strength mylanta it help a litte better then the gas-x gd luck and congrats!!!! -
