This might be such a silly thing to worry about so please forgive me. I'm 3 weeks post-op vsg, and on softfoods. I was so excited to eat something soft that yesterday, I tried a few things in my fridge. I guess my stomach didn't agree with the combination or amount, and it all came back up fiercly. It's now the next day and my stomach, which previously was feeling much better, now is very tender. I know this started because of the puking, I could feel the pain when my stomach would contract. I'm just worried about why it would STILL be so sore. Has this happened to anyone else? It's really worrying me. Can I do damage to my sleeve from just puking?

Oh wow! They let you have food so soon! Maybe this is why I'm so hungry! I received my surgery at the Univerisity of Kentucky Hospital. And yeah, I've been noticing everyone's pre/post-op diets are so different. My pre-op diet was only a week-long (clear liquids only) and I continue clears for a week post-op. Tomorrow I can do "full liquids" which is pretty much creamy soups for a week, then pureed foods for a week. From there it's soft foods, then adding in the rest by Week 6.

I'm so jealous! I can't wait to eat again! Haha. Today is my last day on clears and tomorrow I'm good for full liquids. I know I can't eat any of it, but everyone's food has been smelling so good and making me miss eating ANYTHING. I'm very excited to have a little yogurt or oatmeal! That incision (where they pull your stomach out) is the worst for me too! All the others seem to be fine. I don't even feel them anymore. I also had a hernia repair during the surgery, so internally I'm super sore. It's not as bad as I expected though. I had a c-section with my son, and I feel like that recovery was agonizing in comparison. I have a post-op appointment tomorrow, so I'm going to mention some of your suggestions to see if I can try them too! All suggestions are definitely appreciated. We're in this together! Meg xoxo

I'm doing alright. I'm really struggling to stay hydrated. For the first few days, the smallest amount of water would make me so sick. Now, not so much nausea. Just hard to get much down! How about you? How are you feeling?
