    Crushed

I had to do the same thing. It goes by fast and it didn't impact the insurance approval. It actually got me prepped for post surgery because I started a partial Protein shake diet and joined a support group. Good Luck...the band is only one tool!

    What's Normal after surgery?

You have to create your new normal. They didn't band our brains Here's what I do when I get myself all wrapped around myself. I pretend I'm talking to my best friend. Would I ever talk to my best friend the way I talk to myself, no way, I love her...love yourself! We have changed our anatomy, drastically changed how we eat and what we eat, of course there's a period of adjustment. Yes, I had gas, yes I was scared, yes I got depressed that OMG what have I done...take a deep breath, visit your dietician or counselor or talk to your best friend. This is life changing...new normal!

    Stressed & Scared in Seattle

take a deep breath! It's the best decision you'll ever make! The hardest part for me over the last 6 wks is learning to eat really S L O W.
  6. I'm scheduled for surgery July 18th. Nervous, scared, slightly panic'd...what have I done? Can I go thru with this, hell, I can't stick to a diet, look how fat I am, and what am I going to tell my boss, she is skinny as a rail. When people ask you what you are doing do you tell them you needed a tool to help you? Deep breaths, I can do this, I deserve to feel good. I can do this...reading your posts helps! Thanks.
  7. I'm prepping for surgery, July 18th. I'm not a good diabetic I get really panic'd when my blood sugar drops and I'm really worried about post op on all fluids. Anyone have any hints for managing BS well those first few weeks? I'm on meds only trying to avoid it getting worse...thanks
