Day 3 of last 30 Journery

Day 3 of my fill, and I'm good. I've had in the morning: Coffee, my protien smoothie (3 fresh strawberries, I scoop of whey, a tablespoon of vanilla protien drink, low-cal activia strawberry yogurt) I don't know what it is about strawberry protien drinks and smoothies but they have a bad after taste. Suprisingly my smoothie taste pretty good. snack 2 teaspoons of peanut butter, dinner soup. I feel so much better, lighter, and happier. I mentioned to a co-worker that I wanted to lose 30 more lbs and I'll be satisfied, she was like you will be super skinny. I carry the weight in my stomach, can't afford a tummy tuck, so that's what I have to do. When I gain weight it's in my tummy, and it feels like a tire around my waist.lol A 5lb tire. lol I've been analyzing what I've done to not lose the last 30lbs, inspite my working out hard, and small portions. I think its me taking in few protien, and more carbs. So, I'm gonna start journaling that to keep track. The nurse practioner said: Protien drinks morning, and lunch, snack:3-5 protien-meat Dinner: Protien, veggies, and a tab bit of carbs. Then I'm thinking maybe I worked out so much, and had taken in to many calories and just been maintaining. Humh... any thoughts?
  6. Today was my 1st fill in 10months. Long story, but ready to lose these last 30, that I've had in a year. I've 102 lbs. in 2yrs. The last stretch is hard, and I'm so committed to go forth. I guess my struggle is finding my balance after a fill. You lose a good 10 after the 7days of liquids but as soon as I eat solids, I go back to where I weighed before the band going nowhere. That's with heavy excerise. I'm going to start a food diary, and see what's happening.
  7. I've had 3 fills and it will be about 7months for me as well, but I eat everything, I just have to eat slowly and make sure I chew...I've 64lbs to date. So it's been good for me...
  8. I had my first fill on July 21st, so now I'm getting another fill for August 21st because I'm starting to get hungry before meals, and in the morning I am really wanting breakfast, it's so not like right after the surgery where I was tight and not wanting to eat in the morning. Now my first fill was 2.cc in a 10.cc band. So I am definately telling them to juice me up this go around.

    am I slipping??

Well hopefully this hot topic will open up more discussions about this subject. Everybody experiences are different, and our opinions are based on that --our experiences. At the end of the day it's that person's decision whether to eat solids on the third week or not.

    am I slipping??

Another thing you spend 7days fasting before surgery( I had too) another seven days of liquid, and mushy. It's only human to want, and crave solid foods, so yes people are going to have some kind of "solid food" to get them through. We shouldn't make anyone feel bad about that......

    am I slipping??

I didn't give her permission, I just talk about my experience. If your band is going to slip it will do that, not matter if you are eating a personal pizza, or if you are at the lake water skiing. It happens, but my point is that you have to be aware of your own body, and how the band is working in your own body. Everybody is different.............I just told her about my experience, I am quite sure if you took a poll on this site, they're people that have probably ate a salad, personal pan pizza or whatever and they are fine.
  13. I have been excerise everyday for an hr. At first when I started to have these cramp pains, I thought maybe I am being too active. The weirdest thing is I never experienced the left shoulder pain everyone talks about, it's like the gas is trapped underneath my belly button to the right side of my back.
  14. I am experiencing gas that is giving me cramps. I don't know if I didn't take the Maalox long enough (the whole week after the surgery, and here and there afterwards) I am farting and belching today more than I have since the surgery. Does anyone have any home remedies to get this gas out, and how long does it take for all the gas to leave. Help!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm miserable and cranky.....................

    am I slipping??

I had a personal pan pizza at 3 weeks. and chewed it just as well. I had a fill a week after that, and my band is fine. You know your body, know what you can and cannot do, if it doesn't feel right just STOP!
