  4. I have a quick question, I got banded on June 25th. I had my first fill on 7/21 ans am scheduled for the next fill on Monday. I was losing great until the first fill and was put on solid food. I have only lost 6 pounds in the last month. Is it normal to slow down the weight loss right after the first fill or am I doing something wrong? I am never hungry and have a hard time eating anything.
  5. Congrats! I have finally hit 290 and trying to get the 280's before my next fill. I know you can lose another 20, you are doing so great.
  6. Congrats! You can do it. I thought I would never get under 300 and now I am trying to get to 285. New Goal.
  7. I have finally done it. I am now 291. I just had my first fill on 7/21 and I am so excited. I have officially lost 30 pounds since 6/25/08.

    Banded June 26th

Are any of you who were banded on June 25th or 26th eating solid food yet? I have my first fill on Monday, I am so nervious.
  9. Thank you for the support! You guys are doing great. How did you eat the 3rd week after surgery? My doctor told me to eat 4-6 times a day, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, beans, potatoes, etc. soft foods, and protein shakes. I get the worst stomach aches when I eat soft foods, I have 2 shakes a day and eat one cup of soup and I feel better. I get my first fill on 7/21. I know I need to heal but I am afraid to eat that I will gain weight. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    Banded June 26th

Hi Emily, I was banded on June 25th. I am 32 years old and have had 3 children. Good luck with everything.
  11. Hello, I am new to this experience. I was banded on 6/25/08 and have lost 20.8 lbs. I am just .2 from see the 200's. It has been a week and I have lost nothing. I am so frustrated right now. I am having two Protein shakes a day and a cup of Soup. I go for my first fill on 7/21. Is it normal to stop losing so quickly. Yesturday was two weeks for me.
  12. They told me to not to start exercising yet. My protein shakes are powder from Body Fortress, Whey protein. 210 calories, 3.5 fat, 46 protein. I know this is the right shake. I try mash potatoes or yogurt and it just hurts my stomach. I am going to call the surgeon's office and ask if I am doing something wrong. I only have 6 oz. per shake three times a day. I was told no meat of any kind, no rice, pasta or bread until after 4 weeks. I am at a stand still and I just want to do this right. I feel like when I eat mushy foods I might be stretching the band.
  13. I had my surgery on June 20th. I have lost 20.8 lbs. and my doctor just put me on mushy foods last week. When he put me on mushy foods I stopped losing weight. I have 3 protein shakes a day or I have mushy foods during the day. Like mash potatoes, or yogurt. I am just wondering if I am eating the wrong mushy foods? Should I go back to just protein shakes? My surgeon says do not worry about the weight just heal, but the guy who does the adjustments says to watch what I am eating. I am so confused right now. Can someone tell me what mushy foods they eat and how often?
