Check out Dr. Terry Simpson in Phoenix Arizona. My BMI is 30, I want to lose 50 lbs. My surgery date is scheduled for July 29th. He does quite a lot of low BMI lap bands. Google him, he's got a great web site.

July 29th at 0700 is my surgery date also (in Phoenix). I'm traveling from Albuquerque to get it done .( No lap band MD in Albuquerque) . Hope I don't have any complications. I'm also nervous and excited. Can't wait to get started on a new way of eating and living, but kind of scared also. :biggrin2: -

I feel exactly like you do. My surgery is scheduled for July 29th. I am also scared to lose my "friend" (food)and wondering if I can do it and how it will feel. I congratulate you on your decision to concentrate on yourself. I too work 2 jobs and am finishing up my doctorate next May. I am also feeling the stress of not enough "me " time. Good luck
