    Who Has Lost Over 100 Pounds?!?!

    Yay! I have now lost 100 lbs and can join this very elite club. LOL. It has taken me 2 years and 2 weeks but I have done it. I still have so far to go but this is a milestone that I want to enjoy. Thanks for starting this thread. Congrats to everyone on here!

    Personal Trainer

    I have been doing a alright on my own with cardio. I do 30 min of treadmill or ellyptical 5 days a week. But I feel like I need a push. I would like to work with a personal trainer for 30-60 min 3 days a week for at least a month. I dont think this is something I can afford though. I dont belong to a gym because we have a great workout center at my apartment complex. Has anyone had great results from working out with a trainer or should I stick with the cardio untill I get closer to my goal? I still have a lot to lose.

    Finally UNDER 200 pounds!!!!!

    I am so excited for you! Congratulation, that is awesome!!! I started at 321lbs two years ago. My Christmas goal is to get down to 199lbs for the first time in well over 10 years! I hope to be in ONEderland with you soon!:thumbup:

    I finally did it!!

    I agree with HowdyBooth. I am half way there as well and very much looking forward to hitting that 100lbs loss very soon. (Congratulations by the way!!!) As long as you are eating healthy and exercizing you can get to your ideal weight. Of course it will slow down the smaller you get and the harder you will have to push yourself when you workout. But that doesnt have to do with the lapband. Its all about %'s. If you lose 5lbs in a week when you weigh 300lbs, then that same % of weightloss at 200lbs would only be about 3lbs. The same for the exercizing, when you were 100lbs heavier it burned much more energy to do the same amount of exercize. So you must bump up the time or speed. You will get where you want! Good luck!

    Battling the demons

    Its as though I wrote the above post. That was so on key that it was kinda weird. LOL. I was banded almost 2 yrs ago and am still not where I wanna be. I am much happier now than before and know that I will get where I want one day. My band is doing exactly what its supposed to and I think Im at my sweet spot. But I know how to eat around the band and I self-sabotage. That late night hunger is the only reason why Im still overweight with the band. If I can find a way to overcome the cravings after 8pm then I would hit my goal weight in months. God help us all.
  6. I have lost about 80lbs so far and cant wait to be in onederland. I have done great as far as dieting and exercizing for a couple of weeks and cant seem to lose anything. I would love any ideas of how to break through this platuea. Please HELP!!!!

    Goal Jeans

    I am tired of making goals of how many pounds to lose. It has been about 8yrs since I have been able to wear jeans from a regular store. I am in a size 20 in a plus size store now. Today I bought a pair of size 18 jeans from a store that doesn't have a plus size dept. They are about 2-3 inches from buttoning now. I am finally getting back on track and hope to get in them in about a month or so. Have any of you used clothes as short term goals? If so tell me your story. Good luck everyone!

    Why do women have anal sex?

    My husbands penis will not fit, but I love when he uses two fingers. One in my vagina and the other in the anus. I orgasm more this way than any other time. The only bad part is after just a minute or two I fully climax and am done. He usually doesnt mind this too much though. He may not get to have sex with me but he gets oral instead. Hope I wasnt too graphic.

    How do you Reward yourself?

    I set a big goal of getting down to 150lbs before I was banded, but I dont think about that goal very often. I set small goals so I can reach them more often. I used to set weight goals of 15 or 20lbs. I have recently decided to start setting goals and rewards of clothes instead. My new goals are to buy a pair of jeans one size smaller and my goal is to get into them. When I do then I buy the next size down and have a new goal. These are also rewards because I love buying new clothes, especially smaller ones. I wore a tight 26 when banded and now where a size 20. I have not come as far as I would have liked but I will get there. I just started the jean goal process and cant wait to get into an 18, my first pair of jeans from a regular store that doesnt have a plus size dept.

    Goal Jeans

    You all are doing so great! I did great the first few months I was banded, but then went off track. I lost 62 lbs in the first few months then gained back 20lbs. I have lost 18 of those 20lbs now but still dont feel like I am doing very well. I was banded 1yr and 3 months ago and have only lost 60lbs. I still weigh over 260lbs. I want to be in onederland so bad. I have not been there since I was 15 yrs old and that was only for a few months. Before that I was about 10 yrs old the last time I weighed less than 200lbs. I have always been severly obese and feel like I will always be. My next weight goal is 247, that will put my BMI under 40 and I will be considered overweight instead of obese! I will make it to onederland one of these days. Thanks for the support everyone..

    Vitamin B-12

    My mom had gastric bypass and has started getting B12 shots. She noticed a big difference in energy and weight loss after starting shots. She recommended I start taking the vitamins. I wondered if anyone on here takes the vitamins? Do the vitamins do near as much as the shots do? If anyone has any info it would be greatly appreciated...

    TURKEY DAY Challenge 2009

    My goal is to lose 21 lbs by Thanksgiving. This will put me at what my weight was before I got pregnant with my daughter like 8 yrs ago and in the low 200's instead of high 200's. Good luck everyone!!
  15. I am in Louisville, KY. I am willing to answer any ???'s and would love to help anyone I could. But I really don't know if I am the best person for this. I have been banded for almost a year and have been hovering for the last 6 months. I did great for the first 6 months then lost motivation for some reason. I can't seem to start following the rules again for some reason. I feel that I may need a lil therapy to get me back where I need to be. I wish you all the luck and will help in anyway I can.
  16. I am in the exact same boat as you are. I was banded 10-08-08 and have lost and gained the same 10 lbs since Feb. I have lost about 60 lbs or so but I hit 50lbs on Valentines day. My band is working, I have restriction. When I eat what I am supposed to eat I get full quickly. When I only eat when I am hungry I dont eat much at all. I am very weak for ice cream and chips. I am going to try the overeaters annonomous meeting that someone recommended and I wish you luch in getting in the right frame of mind to succeed. I hope to get there myself soon. Karen
  17. I live in Louisville Ky and we have had a huge change in the weather in the last week or so. We have had 90% humidity and temps in the upper 80's and 90's. My band was done in Oct so this is my first summer with the band. My last fill was 7 weeks ago and I have pretty good restriction. For the last week or week and a half I have not been able to hardly eat at all. Sometimes even liquids come back up like slime. For instance, b-fast..1/2 Protein bar lunch...2 chicken nuggets from Chick Fil A dinner..3 bites of taco meat snack...10 sun chips (then threw up) This is not normal for me at all. I want to lose weight but I don't know if this is due to weather or slippage.

  19. I was banded Oct 2008 and never felt much restriction. I lost 50 lbs in the first 4 months then gained 9 lbs over the next 2 1/2 months. I went in for a fill last Tuesday, and may be overfilled. I don't know if this is what restriction is like or if this is too much. For breakfast I had a protien bar, lunch: 3 bites of a naked chicken taco (then threw it up), snack: 5 doritos (then threw it up) ...scared to eat dinner. I lost 7 lbs in 5 days, so I don't want to lose the restriction. I am scared that I am not eating enough though. I am going to put myself back on liquids for a day or two then try solids again. I want to keep the restriction, but be able to eat small meals. Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks Karen
  20. I was banded in Oct 08 and lost 50lbs in the first 4 months. I think that was OK, but not great. I have not lost a single lb since I hit the 50 lb mark. I am not eating perfect by any means. I only drink water or Crystal Light and never drink when I eat. I eat out ALOT though. I don't exercise either. I know that I haven't been taking advantage of this opportunity that I have been given and it makes me feel soo stupid. I know that it is a mental thing for me. It meant so much to me to hit 50lbs and then I immediatley started self sabotaging. I go to bed everynight saying that tomorrow will be different, then I hit McDonalds. I just need some encouragement. Please pray for God to inspire me to do what I need to do. Thanks for letting me vent Karen

    No weight loss in 2 1/2 months!!!

    I go into work right now at 6:30 am, but just got a promotion that goes into effect may 4th and then I will go in at 7:30. I work in a dr's office that has treadmills for cardiac rebab. I am going to try to come in at 7am at least 3 days a week to walk for 30min on the treadmill before I start work. And my goal is to go for a walk on weekends with my husband and daughter. I had an egg sandwich this morning on whole grain toast and couldn't quite finish half of it. For lunch I had a grilled chicken taco and a handfull of chips. When I follow the rules of no sauces and very solid foods I can eat alot less. I will do better. Karen Thank all of you for your motivation and support.

    Fighting Lap Band

    I am going through the same type of problem. I was banded 10-08-08 and lost 50 lbs by Feb. It has been over 6 weeks since I lost a lb. I am eating aroung the band. I am eating huge amounts of ice cream nearly everyday, cookies and chips. I have quite a bit of restriction, not too much but I think enough. I am choosing the foods that I can eat plenty of. I know that I am doing this to myself. Everynight I go to bed in tears saying that I am going back to the way I was after the band in the morning. Then I wake up stupid again. I think I need some professional help. If anyone had advise I would be very grateful. Karen :smile2::sad:

    Valentine's Day Weight Loss Challenge

    I made it! Barely though. I lost the final lb on V-Day. It still counts though. I am now down 50 lbs from my pre-op weight. Onederland, I will make it there sometime. This feels like it takes so long. It has been a lil over 4 months and I have lost 50 lbs, it still seems like it should be more. I am still not very restricted, I am sure that will come in time with more fills. I hope everyone did great and continues to succeed.     Aetna with ATT

    Does anyone have Aetna ins that works at ATT? My friend called her ins co to find out if she has to do a 6 month diet or anything and they said they would mail her a packet and didn't answer any of her ?'s. I was hoping someone here has it and can answer some of the ?'s without her having to wait weeks to get this packet. Is there a diet and what are the BMI requirements and are there any other requirements. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Karen
