My name is Karen. I am married to my high school sweetheart and have a beautiful daughter. I have always been extremly overweight. I was over 200lbs at age 11. I have never known what it was like to be able to do normal things that others my age were doing. At the age of 27 I decided to change my life. I had lapband surgery at 326lbs. For me this was my last chance. I lost 50lbs in a few months then I stopped following rules and gained a little. It took me over a year to get back with it and get my head back in the game. I got down to 192 but my band was too tight and I was throwing up a lot. I got an unfill and stopped throwing up but I have gained. I am currently at about 215 and am trying to get back on track. I am almost 30yrs old and want to get back under 200 and never see that weight again. I am very happy I had this surgery and wouldnt go back. Lapband is a tool not an easy way out. It takes a lot of work and determination.
