    July 2021 Surgery People!

Update: Surgery July 1st HW: 342 Pre-op: 326 SW: 314 CW: 299.8 Slowly but surely. I kept trying to remind myself it's one day at a time. Sent from my moto g stylus using BariatricPal mobile app

    July 2021 Surgery People!

I had my surgery on the 1st. Everything has been going fine and my doc moved me to purees. Since I moved to purees its been tough to get more then 2 -3 spoons in without getting this ball in my chest feeling. Also I don't know if I'm doing to much (bending down, picking things up) but my stomach (inside) just feels off. Sorry for the rant just wanted to see if anyone else is feeling the same Sent from my moto g stylus using BariatricPal mobile app

Yes! I normally run hot but now I have to turn the fan off at night, or raise the AC Sent from my moto g stylus using BariatricPal mobile app

I start purees on Thursday. So far I've been sticking with premier protein shakes, broth, water with Gatorade zero powder. Sent from my moto g stylus using BariatricPal mobile app

Same. Mine was like only eat this. It helps, it takes the guessing and anxiety out of the mix. I'm now down 22 lbs Sent from my moto g stylus using BariatricPal mobile app

    Caffeine

My surgeon allowed 2 cups a day.But I'm a hard core coffee drinker (think like 2 pots a day), so I decided to quit coffee during pre op. It wasn't pleasant lol but I don't want anything to hurt my weight loss. Since surgery , I definitely feel like I have more energy (could be all the protein), and I've learned that what I enjoyed a lot about coffee was the habit of drinking a warm cup of liquid...so I started subbing with some peppermint/chai/chamomile tea. During pre op I craved Mexican and so I found a local spot that served tortilla soup. I would drink the broth and it helped with the craving . Sent from my moto g stylus using BariatricPal mobile app

Bone broth has been my lifesaver. Delicious and the warm water really helps calm the hunger Sent from my moto g stylus using BariatricPal mobile app
  9. Yes. I learned that you have to sip water like a gerbil and it helps with the burning Sent from my moto g stylus using BariatricPal mobile app

Liquids are going down.thw first 1-2 days I could only get one protein shake in and some sips of water. Now I am meeting my daily goal of protein 60g. Pro tip: only drink while sitting up. I'd you lay down it will be painful Sent from my moto g stylus using BariatricPal mobile app

    Sipping Water

I just had my surgery on the 1st. I had the same problem swallowing, try putting a bit of water in your mouth (think teaspoon size), swirl it around and then swallow. It's helped me. Sent from my moto g stylus using BariatricPal mobile app
