Revision because of Complications

Could anyone give me any insight on how this will work? The differences between the sleeve recovery verses the revision recovery? I'm not entirely sure if I'll be getting one but at this point my gut is saying that it's going to be necessary. I can't eat or drink anything. Throwing up, dry heaving, Still have stomach pain, they think it's all from gastritis. I feel like i'm starving to death at this point. My diet is ice cubes (barely). I can barely walk from malnutrition. I just turned 19 and I'm in college so I also don't know how much it would affect my classes. I'm looking for things that are obvious about the recovery and things that aren't obvious that I might not think of. And if anyone else has gone through this. When I got the sleeve I was more able to research things and literally memorize everything but I'm so messed up I really need someone to just help me figure it out kinda. -

Nausea, need suggestions.
lindseylovesdogs replied to lindseylovesdogs's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
honestly i'm still getting GERD symptoms while on it so im afraid of the pain if i stop taking it i'm going to ask my doctor thought thank you i didn't even realize that -
backstory: I was sleeved 9/14, left hospital with midline because i couldn't handle fluids. midline was taken out week 2, then week 3 i ended up in the hospital for a week with severe dehydration, was sent home on a picc line. picc line was taken out around week 8 because i was finally able to handle 40-50oz of gatorade zero/vitamin water (cant handle regular water) and 2 protein shakes, and then eventually i could handle about 1oz of soft/puree food. this was until about a week ago when the nausea came back, currently taking 12mg of zofran a day because of it (not all at once). it's been getting worse since last week and now im basically back on clear liquids and even that is giving me ridiculous nausea. I'm also on 80mg of pantoprazole. I talk to the PA and dietician on alternating weeks over zoom. I am going in person this week. I might also go get a second opinion. No imaging or tests have been done to rule out any causes. They basically have given me no answers as to why this is happening. does anyone have any ideas or suggestions as to why this is happening or what to do? has anyone gone through anything similar? i feel so helpless at this point. I don't know what to do.

i'm not really able to eat aside from protein shakes. i can finish maybe 1oz of soft/puree foods. im not really exercising because im too weak/dizzy most of the time. i know the answer is probably just that i should be taking in more but im not sure if the loss is becoming too fast. -

i know, its just that i've lost half of my excess weight in two months. i don't think it's supposed to be this fast. and honestly i don't think my surgeon is keeping track of me well enough for him to worry. -
Is GERD worse in the beginning months after surgery?
lindseylovesdogs replied to lindseylovesdogs's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
actually i'm 18 so i was scared RNY would be too much of a responsibility especially with malnutrition and vitamins thank you though -

So, after the first month and after the first plateau, how much did your weight loss slow down? at what rate were you losing? like around month 2-3 i'm starting to worry that i'm losing too fast -

Is GERD worse in the beginning months after surgery?
lindseylovesdogs replied to lindseylovesdogs's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
he told me it would be gone after the hernia was removed. the gastritis wasn't from the GERD though. he never really mentioned bypass to me. however, I am somewhat prone to hypoglycemia which is why I didn't go for RNY, also the sleeve seemed safer for my age. his surgical coordinator told me they told really do bypass in his office anymore -

I'm 2 months post-op, I'm on 80mg of pantoprazole, not on puree stage yet. I just got off of my PICC line yesterday. It seems like for the past 1-2 weeks the GERD has gotten worse, which is also when I started drinking a regular amount. I'm only drinking gatorade zero and 2 shakes. I have so much flem and saliva now and it also hurts. I had GERD, gastritis, and a small hernia prior to surgery. Does it get better as time goes on? Is it just worse in the beginning months or do I need to start looking at options (revision etc)? -
it depends on what you are eating and the amount, also if its too dry. It takes me an hour or two currently to get 2oz of puree down the only food that gives me the stuck in throat feeling are eggs but others like it might too you might also not be ready for it

Hi, I had my surgery on 9/14 so I'm currently 10 days post-op. Today I moved from clear liquids to protein shakes. I like protein shakes, that's not my issue. I couldn't finish more than half of a shake, and it took me an hour to drink half of it. It was a 6oz shake, so I could only finish 3oz before nausea and fullness, it has been 4 hours I still can't drink any more of it without getting nauseous again. the brand is GNC isopure if that matters. My stage 2 diet is 64oz of water and 2 shakes, then 2oz puree if I can handle the first two. I'm mainly worried about my bones hair and overall health if this keeps up. I know it's only been one day and I'm probably overreacting but I figured I would ask. So main question, How long can I expect this to last?
