The Road Less Traveled??? Hello, to all my soon to be fellow bandsters! Was just curious if any of you are lacking support by your family and friends like I am? I am 5' 4" 190lbs with a BMI of 39.3. I am really excited about the surgery but have received nothing but negativety from family and friends. They tell me I should just take the six months and lose the weight myself, it's not safe, your skin will be all stretched out yada, yada,. Some of them are not so skinny themselves hard to tell where they are coming from. Does anyone have any opinions as to why I am receiving such negativity. Thanks for letting me vent. The Road Less Traveled???
Hello, to all my soon to be banded clan. I was just wondering, are any of you lacking support from your family? I weight 190lbs and have a BMI of 39.3. My whole family is telling me just to go on the diet for the 6 months and lose the weight and forget about the surgery. Not gonna happen I have made up my mind, I am having this done.
I have been up to 188lbs before and got back to 125lbs because I was sick but I really don't feel I can do this on my own. What do you think is wrong with these people? Why can't they be happy about it or for me.
