Yes, I did have surgery with Dr. Clinch. Very happy with the outcome....although alot of that was my work, not his. I didn't have any issues post surgery. Now that Premera has dropped him, I have to pay $120 every time I go for a fill. I will be finding another doctor who my insurance does cover for all future fills.

WELCOME! I have no idea how to put that banner thing at the bottom of your page, but I did want to say congratulations for taking the next steps on becoming banded. Feeling Horrible

I felt the same way for about a week post-op. I was banded on September 4th....I felt great on day 1 & 2, and then it slowly went downhill from there. Days 3, 4, & 5 I felt horrible. My relief was walking on the treadmill, drinking alot of water, and sleeping. I know it's difficult, but it does get easier. And I feel better today 2 weeks post-op than I did 2 weeks pre-op. What a great idea! My name is Anna and I am 24 years old. I live with my 3 cats in Bothell, WA. I am an Operations Manager at Microsoft - I love what I do. I am being banded on September 4 by Dr. Clinch at Evergreen Hospital. I have been wanting this for over 4 years and thanks to insurance I can finally have it done. With a positive attitude, family and friend support, and a sense of humor, I am hoping to do very well. Congratulations and Good Luck to all. -

I was the same. MS Premera approved me in about a week or so. I also don't have any co-morbidities, just BMI of 41 and fat :thumbup: I might be changing doctors however. I found one at Overlake and he comes recommended from several people including my OB.

Hi Lisa - Did you talk to someone in HR here at Microsoft about the surgery schedule? I talked with Moira today (again) and told her that you were in the same situation as me (had to be banded by July 31st). I am looking at August for surgery now, but am scared it's not going to be covered. Any ideas? You can ping me on messenger if you'd like (annaci is my alias). Thanks for your help.

Hi Lisa - Thats GREAT!!! I've also been approved, but they've told me July 31st is the cutoff. You have the same insurance I have right (Premera) so I am going to ask Moira what we can do to extend my limit so I can have surgery sometime in September. I've been calling them everyday but it takes them a day or two to get back to me (which is really annoying). Anyways, I am really really happy for you. Let's stay in touch - it would be awesome to have a "buddy" to go through this journey with. On a side note - which building do you work in? I am in B24. I am a M&A HR Coordinator.
