  4. Hey Jorge! I understand what u r going thru! GET UR FILL...dont feel embarrassed..and dont let others make u feel that way either! Not alot of ppl have been at WAR with their bodiesl ike us !!

  5. I did it!!! Thank you for all your encouraging words and support I finally got the guts today to call my doctors office and I was able to reschedule for tomorrow Tues 7!!!...Like I said in my first thread "Help!!! Have I failed???" I have been eating uncontrollably...I am a food addict/emotional eater and this kicked in...after reading all the entries in this website I see that its normal to gain weight in the time after your surgery and before the first fill. As soon as I got my appetite back on the 3rd week after my lap band surgery on May 12, 2008 I started eating uncontrollably and every kind of junk food and I feel like I gained some of the weight back that I had lost already and was feeling really embarrased to go back to the doctor's office. But like I said before all your encouraging words and support gave me the strength to call and reschedule my appointment for tomorrow. I am nervous!!! And what I have read is that this is when the real weight loss starts...I am so excited!!! I need to loose at least 275lbs to get to my ideal weight so I am ready to start this path to physical and mental wellness. Is this normal what I have gone through??? I will keep you guys updated what happened to me with the doctor in my first fill...Once again thank you to each and everyone of you who responded to my thread and gave me encouraging words!!! GOD BLESS!!!
  6. Thank you Nancy for your concern and yes I did my appointment for Tuesday July 15...Thank you for your response!!! I am so overwhelmed by all the support that I have been getting...I was even nervous and anxious to write anything on this website...I am totally going to use this as a support tool...I will keep you updated on my progress and once again Nancy thank you!!!
  7. Hello my name is Jorge and I live in Queen Creek, Arizona. I am 32 years old and I weigh 499 lbs, thats if I havent gained all my weight back. I got my lap band surgery on May 12 2008 and I went down from 537 lbs to 499 the week before my surgery. Even after my surgery I was doing good with my preop and postop liquid and soft food diet stages, until about the 3rd or 4th week when I was able to eat regular foods now I am out of control. My food addiction has kicked in. I was supposed to go for my 1st fill on June 25 and I keep postponing because I am so embarrased to go and I feel like I have truly gained some of the weight back. Has this happened to anyone else??? I have alot of weight to loose...my doctor said that my ideal to loose would be 250-275 lbs...so I have a long way to go...and with this setback I am so embarrased to go to my doctors office and get weighed. I have even tried to do crash diets but they don't work!!! I am a carbs addict and I just feel like a total failure!!!...The whole reason for getting this surgery was to loose the weight and feel good physically and emotionally...right now I just feel crappy and emotionally like a total failure...Am I the only one that this happened to??? Is there anyone that has had this happen to as well??? Should I feel like this???
