    who uses the dailyplate??

I tried to log on a few hours ago and it was down for some kind of maintenance/repair. Maybe that's the problem you are having. I went on again a few minutes ago to update my info and everything seemed to be working great. Maybe it was having issues earlier...
  2. I have felt that, but I've been tracking what I eat on dailyplate.com and I can definitely notice that I'm eating so much less than ever before. And not because of willpower. I'm really not as hungry. I'm satisfied so much sooner! I got banded 2 1/2 weeks ago so I haven't had my first fill. The first few days i felt the same way. But I definitelly notice a difference.

    Swelling after surgery

Thank you soooo much for this thread!!! I've been dealing with the same issue. I've been wearing nothing but pj's, loose sweat pants and lounge around pants. I haven't gone many places, so no biggie. But I tried on some jeans that fit before surgery and I couldn't even get them buttoned. :wink2:Got a little frustrated, but I figured it was just bloating. I guess I'll try the fiber tabs or fiber bars. I've said this before - this website is such a Godsend! I love all the encouragement and support! Thank you everyone!

    ZSweet - Anyone tried it?

I was doing a google search online for a natural sugar substitute - I'm using splenda for my morning coffee, cream of wheat, etc., and am not a fan of the aftertaste....I came across this sweetener called Zsweet. I guess it's sold mostly in healthfood stores. I haven't really ventured out and looked for it, however, it sounds like a wonderful alternative to sugar AND the regular/popular sugar-substitutes. I was wondering if anyone has tried it? Thank you in advance for any opinions.:biggrin2:

    Coffee

My doctor actually counted coffee as a clear liquid, so I was able to have about 6 oz the day after my surgery. IT WAS YUMMY!! I dont like that I have to use an artificial sweetener instead of sugar though. Don't like the after-taste. The packet that was given to me by my doc said coffee is ok up to about 2 cups a day. yay!!!

Stretch Marks and Post Surgery Scars

I sell AVON and have heard LOTS of testimonies of people who have tried their stretch mark cream and absolutely SWEAR by it, so I figured I'd give it a try. Good thing it's 100% guaranteed, so if it doesn't work, I can return it. I will let you all know how it goes.

Disney World bound-what to eat there?

My doctor gave me a card to carry around giving the restauraunts 'permission' to let me order off the childs meal (at my initial consult). :tt2: I'm not at that point yet - just 1 1/2 weeks post op. Have a BLAST at Disneyworld! My family and I went there Feb 07 and it was FABULOUS!!! I could live there.

    Disappointment!!

I had my surgery on the 25th of June and it was all TriCare Prime approved - all the way down to the nutritionist and psych consult. My initial consult was on May 8. They scheduled my surgery that day, so tricare would have a target date to work with, then I got all my referrals and appts in before then. During my preop, Monday before the surgery, the did labs, ekg and pre-admit. It was really so much easier than I thought it would be. In fact, my nurse told me tricare is one of the easiest insurances to work with. Maybe those other tests are standard for your surgeon, but I don't think they are tricare standards. Not sure, though. Good luck to you.

    Seeking a battle buddy...

Thanks for the encouragement, Brenda. I'm feeling frustrated right now. I don't know if this is right, but I really, REALLY feel hungry - like I could eat anything. I had a salmon filet last night and it was like 4 oz that i ate (it was all mushy). I didn't feel sick or full afterwards and felt like I could have had more. That's what I feel like I'm struggling with. Is that normal?

    Anyone extra-emotional??

Well PRAISE GOD I'm not the only one who is moody.....pms-ing doesn't help either. It seems as though everything is just making me wanna go retreat to my room and lock the door behind me....I probably should have had this done during the school year, but since it's summer vacation, I have a 13, 10, 7 and 4 yr old making all kinds of noise, fighting over kittens, fighting over tv, fighting over EVERYTHING. LORD give me strength. :confused2: I just want to say that I'm so glad I found this website! It's been awesome!!!!

    Seeking a battle buddy...

OH MY GOSH, Carey, that Bible verse, 1 Corinth 10:13 was AWESOME! EYE OPENING! INSPIRING!!! I'm going to write it down and memorize it and just meditate on it. Thank you so much for that! PRAISE GOD! I was banded exactly one week ago today and am down about 13.5 lbs. CRAZY!!! I had thoughts that maybe this isn't the way GOd wanted it done, but it was such smooth sailing from beginning to end, that it HAD to be a God thing. I was ready to go about 6 weeks from the initial consult. I am struggling with moodiness (doesn't help that I'm due for a 'visitor' this week) but "...with God, all things are possible" Good luck to you.

    Help - Need computer geek

Do you have a laptop or desktop? I have a laptop, so when I type, I cannot rest my wrists. When I do, it starts to use the touchpad and my cursor ends up all over the place and sometimes my page will scroll uop or down. Could that be it?

    My First Time Here

Greetings everyone! I just found this site 2 nights ago and I must say IT IS WONDERFUL!!! I had my lap band surgery a week ago (6/25). I'm wondering if it's normal to feel hungry. I feel like it may just be psychological, but I can't get my mind off of wanting to eat a big fat juicy steak or a huge bown of Cajun Rice from Popeyes. I feel like I don't really get full, which makes me nervous, cuz then I feel like I can eat anything (i haven't but still concerned). Any words of encouragement? On the plus side, I've lost 11lbs. WOOHOO!
