I dont know how they will tell if you have not adhered to it 100% unless they are having you do a liquid diet. I am also preop and know it will be difficult. I am working now on slowly converting to what my new meal plan will be post op so I will not be surprised later. Try out different food options now and see what you like and stock up on those things. Research recipes and such and try them out. This way you wont be scrambling and feeling desperate later. Good luck!
