Yeah, I was so nervous about the diet. I kept reading the preop instructions thinking it was a mistake because everyone I know who has the vsg was on straight liquids prior to surgery Sent from my SM-G996U using BariatricPal mobile app

How long are you missing work?

I'm taking two weeks. I'm still WFH/remote. Tbh, I get bored easily, so I definitely didn't want to be home with nothing to do especially since it'll be a while before I'm back in the gym and exercising normally. -
Day 3 of preop complete! It is definitely getting easier now that my brain and stomach are coming to terms with the new restrictions. I actually look forward to my breakfast and lunch shakes. I bought some Better than Buillion (roasted chicken) and have been sipping that during lunch. I'm still nervous about my liver not shrinking, but I'm down 5lbs so I think this diet is doing something lol For anyone that is not on a liquid preop diet, what are some of the "normal" foods you have for dinner? Per my doc, I'm allowed to have an under 300cal Individualized Meal (ie Healthy Choice, etc) and a small salad. I had a salad still in the fridge from my Olive Garden food funeral on Sunday and when I say that I demolished it for dinner last night...it was so good

My Unjury Chicken Soup came in over the weekend. Tbh, I wasn't expecting very much from it. I mixed half a scoop with 4oz of hot water just to try it and it was so good. I'm tempted to get the french onion one now lol Sent from my SM-G996U using BariatricPal mobile app

I'm scheduled for my VSG on May 16th. I start my 2wk pre-op on May 2nd. I know it's my nerves, but I'm so scared that the pre-op diet isn't going to work and my surgery is going to be cancelled 😞 What are some pre-op tips you guys have been following? I know I have to stay at 800cals a day with two protein shakes and a "normal" meal. I bought some Healthy Choice and Lean Cuisines to get me through. Hopefully these will be okay ✌️
