  1. I had the sleeve in 2012. SW 268. I’m 5’2. I got down to 180lbs an kept it there until 2016 when I had a miscarriage, then struggled with infertility. In 2020 I welcomed a baby boy during the pandemic and well all that combined I’ve gained all my weight back 😞 I feel like a failure. My insurance covers revisions but I don’t know the specifics that are required. In 2019 I had my gallbladder removed and I was diagnosed with NASH at that time. Is NASH considered a comorbidity? Or medical complication? I haven’t been diagnosed with GERD but I know I have it (I choke in acid every night), so I am hopeful I can get an official diagnosis for a revision. I’ve tried going back to the basics and restricting calories and all the things but the weight just piled on. Anyone in the same boat?

    Dilated Sleeve

Acid reflux/ heartburn. I choke on acid at night. I’ve been on a PPI for years. If I forget a dose I wake up choking on acid. My endoscopy shows erosion grade B esophagitis but the biopsies show no information (how I have no clue!) and my upper GI shows a dilated sleeve. The frustrating thing is the radiologist put I have “normal appearing stomach” because my sleeve is stretched to a normal stomach size but it’s NOT normal for someone with a sleeve. So my surgeon is fighting for the radiologist to amend his reading of the scans. It’s very clear it’s stretched big time.
  3. Anyone got approved for a revision because of a dilated sleeve? Original surgery in 2012. Gained all weight back. Upper GI shows massively dilated sleeve, hiatal hernia and I have grade B esophagitis but biopsies are negative for inflammation.

    Conversion of Sleeve to Bypass

I had a VSG in 2012, lost a baby in 2016, then struggled with secondary infertility for 3 years, got pregnant in 2019, ended up needing emergency surgery and thus had a miscarriage, got pregnant again in July 2019 and my rainbow baby boy was born in March 2020.... during a pandemic! So needless to say I too hve gained my weight back. I am just now starting the process to get a revision. I have bad reflux as well.
