I give up whats the use

I was sore for the first couple of days, I never needed the pain meds they gave me. I felt much better after the staples were out. It was nothing unbearable. Not nearly as bad as the 2 c-sections I had. I had my surgery on a wednesday and by Sunday I was at a backyardagins live show with my 2 yr old...walk alot is the best thing for dealing with the gas and pain that comes from the gas.

    is this stuck

I just had my first fill on Monday and now suddenly when I eat, shortly afterwards I get a pain in my chest, like pressure and it almost feels hard to take deep breaths, not shortness of breath but just a slight pain when I breathe deep. Is this getting stuck, it last for a hour or so...
  3. I go walking if the weather is nice or do 45 minutes to 1 hour on my wii fit if it is too hot or raining. The fill did not bother me and they didn't tell me not to so I didn't think about it till you asked.

I give up whats the use

no Aetna was excellent, never had a single problem, they approved my surgery within 3 days and I did not have any exisiting medical condition besides my weight. My surgeon's office handled all the paperwork and just had me get a note from my primary dr that the surgery would be good for me. Just make sure you see a dr or nurse practioner monthly for a dieting program, that is an aetna requirement. My plan was 6 months when I started the process, but then my plan went to 3 months so I had my surgery on June 18th. I was 256 and now I am 218 and just had my first fill. I have never felt so good in my life. Good luck with everything, if you have any questions, just let me know.
  5. lucky you gt to eat dinner after your fill...they put me on water or tea for the day of the fill and today I was allowed to have 3 shakes, no food. Tomorrow I can have 2 shakes and one mushy meal if I can tolarate it, then a day with 2 shakes and regular food. I haven't been hungry, but I barely got through my morning shake I didn't even want my luch one today, so I went without and had 3/4 of one for dinner. I have the 10cc band, but like I said they put 6.5cc in during surgery, so now I am at 7cc after my fill.

I give up whats the use

Aetna requires that you see a dr or nurse practitioner and a nutritionist for 6 months to try to loose the weight, they do not require to actually loose the weight, although going to them does help it come off, I lost most of my pre surgery weight after the dr scheduled my surgery and told me I had 2 1/2 weeks to lose 8lbs. Well it was the light at the end of the tunnel for me, I dropped everything and had protien shakes 2 a day and only ate lunch, which was salad with something high in protein like tuna or chicken. I was actually down 11lbs on surgery date. I have aetna so I know exactly what they needed, also my dr. office was great about getting it covered, I never even spoke to anyone at Aetna.
  7. I just had my first fill on Monday and they told me during surgery I had 6cc in my band. When she went to do the fill and pulled the fluid out it was at 6.5cc, so she only gave me .5cc with the fill

    Flatulence

sounds bad, but I was glad to see this thread...my husband keeps asking me what is wrong with me...I am fine all day and then around 8pm...look out, you don't want to be in the same room. I keep telling him there is a duck loose in the house...it has become a joke...oh well, I look and feel better now so that is the important part. He is going to have to deal with it...
  9. Hello everyone, I was banded on June 18 by Dr. Kwon in NY. I have been doing great, recovered much quicker than I thought. I even went to a Backyaragins Live show with my 2 yr old 4 days post surgery. I have now lost a total of 30lbs...18lbs post surgery. The liquid diet is getting really boring, but I know in the long run it will be worth it...
