I am a 40 year old mom living in Texas and tired of moving like a 70+ year old. I've previously lost about 100 pounds before, twice, and gained it all back plus some. I have numerous excuses, back surgeries and other medical issues to explain the regain of the weight....but it is what it is. This past year during quarantine I attempted to lose the weight again with a strict diet and lots of exercise in the "gym" we set up in the garage. I lost maybe 10-15 pounds total, this was not normal and I was killing myself while working out. My knees eventually gave up also. This is when I started to give serious thought to getting surgery, even though it is not covered by my insurance. For me, VSG was the way to go. As of now, I am 1 week into my 2 week liver shrink diet and am down about 12 pounds from my high weight. My surgery is scheduled for 25 Jun 2021 and I can't wait!
