Hey! 5weeks out for me too! Done mine on May 11th, but I've only dropped like 11pounds in 2 weeks, stalled til now 🥲 it's definitely unnerving and I truly understand how you feel! Had my first month check with my doctor last week and even he thought that I was kinda slow (they expected abt 17 - 30lbs lost in first month before The Stall) so... a bit demotivating but I've been getting a lot of positive vibes from the peeps here! I guess our diff is that I tend to miss hitting protein target at times due to work but I've started working out a lil and try to eat more protein now. Hoping all the best for you and cheer up! You're not alone )

Post-op incision pain length/sleeping on stomach

2 weeks today! First few days were a bit rough for me as I've always been a side/ stomach sleeper. Rough in a sense that i woke up few times at night to readjust my sleeping position. By the 5th-6th I could comfortably lie on my stomach (which turned out to be soooooo much more comforting) and back to sleeping side since To be fair my incisions weren't painful since Day 0 they're just slight discomfort as the gas pain was more disturbing to me. Also side note, i find elevating headrest to sleep on my back was very comfortable too! -

Don't be irritated, sour mood tends to cause bigger appetite than usual Put your food in a smaller bowl and eat with teaspoon, count your chews and pause after each swallow. Slow down eating and enjoy the taste [emoji4] all the best!! -

I love this topic! Well coming from an Asian country being a foodie is my second nature [emoji2956] my boyfriend and I love to indulge in good food so we did have this conversation before I decided to do the sleeve. Think of it another way, since you can have small portions only, you're really helping him to try more variety of food! [emoji23] -
Glad I'm not alone here.. 4days post op now and I get really sad looking at solid food that I can't touch. Having all the bad cravings for all those solid food even just cereal 🥲

Hey yall [emoji4] did mine finally on 11/5 morning. Day itself was horrible honestly. Nauseated and abdominal gas pain [emoji852] Next day was MUCH better, as ppl say here if you can, just walk around slowly and rmber to sip water bit by bit. Really helped the gas to exit body. Still having gassy ab but it gets better with slow sips of water/liquid and walk around more [emoji307] feeling a bit low today as I start to really miss solid food 🥲 -
Hey I'm getting my Astra Zeneca on 2nd June, nearly full month after my sleeve. My doc said it should be okay but to be aware of the vaccine side effects instead.

I guess for me the nerve is really creeping in right now [emoji23] i definitely hope that my hosp staff and nurses are equally as nice too!

That's definitely the ideal scenario I'm hoping for myself! So great to hear that from a real life experience!

Hey all! So I'm admitting tonight for sleeve scheduled tomorrow morning and I having the jitters now 🥲 My close friends and fam are not keen with me having the sleeve plus covid now so I'll be doing this all by myself. No pre op diet requested by the doctor, only fast from eating midnight onwards. Anyone who did this alone? Any points I can learn from? ) Thanks in advance!!

Thinking about the sleeve

Heya! I'm in similar situation as you: 32, never been in right bmi my whole life (my fam is genetically fat; all my cousins and siblings are at least overweight). I spent the past 2 years eating clean and working out 4-5 times a week but keeps getting the "you must have not done something right!" or "you're just not working out hard enough". Nope the hell out, got my sleeve appt coming Tue. I did a Pros and Cons chart, and I know if I don't do it sooner, surgical risk is higher as I get older. Not to mention family illness history that I'd definitely want to prevent than cure. Hope you found your way now -
