To start with they gave me dissolvable but I hated the taste so I asked to have the tablets ( large capsules ) from about a week post op. I haven't had any issues taking them ( can still have a slight taste if in your mouth to long before you get to swallow )

I'm prescribed forceval tablets via gp, instead of centrum but they aren't chewable ( I now pay a years prescription so covers all meds and makes it cheaper in long run )

Hi , Surgery went ahead and all is well , coming to the end of liquid phase now and ready to start puree . Research on food can be abit frustrating as alot of the suggestions on here are for American products that we can't get , they seem to have so many more options than us . Getting slight heartburn the past few days. I found after the surgery I had to be quite on the ball in requesting meds for prescription such as prescribed vitamins , meds to help bowels etc . So maybe do your research and then ask for what you need ( I have a pre paid subscription for a year so works out cheaper than buy over the counter ) Good luck with your surgery Xx

Hi , I had mine done on Monday in the UK . Found it harder getting fluids in today but think I've worked it out now . I'm better without a straw or spout on my drinks to get a decent air free sip . Hope your well Hayley -
Hi everyone , Nice to see a UK thread , find it hard seeing all recommendations and then not being able to get things here in the UK Im Leeds based and having nhs sleeve on 10th may fingers crossed as it's dependant on hdu beds ! Had it cancelled twice due to covid. Both times I was part way through the pre op diet . Trying not to worry to much but you see so many issues on the forums that it's difficult not to Hayley
