####ing SKIN TAGS!
summerseeker replied to vikingbeast's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The old fashioned way to deal with them is to tie cotton around them a wait till they drop off. You can buy a kit online that is similar but it uses teeny tiny elastic bands, In my opinion you need someone to do it for you, { even though the online kit says you can do it yourself } If you stick a band aid over it, you can forget it for a week then have a look, -
November Surgery Buddies!!!

I have been reading past posts for months and it seems some doctors like to really pump in the water so you dont suffer dehydration in the early days of recuperation. Stay off the scale if you can. The process will work -

Yes I feel the same, I have waited a long time for this chance. Bring it on.

Congratulations, you have done amazing. I dont know what to think about robotic surgeons. Its a bit like driverless trains and pilotless airplanes. If I were having that procedure, I dont want to know until after the event. Keep walking and everything will improve.

Pre-Op Struggling
summerseeker replied to AmazonSleeved's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
What does your doctor allow you and for how long ? Big hugs. I am in your place next week -
My preop diet starts on the 3rd of November for 3 weeks. I have given it lots of thought while I waited. I am allowed veg, milk and yogurt. My go to, will be Thai soups and salads. I have bought in lots of water noodles as they are only 4 cals a packet. I like them better than courgetti. They do fill you up. When I get fed up of those I will have soups - carrot and coriander, mushroom and onion are favourite's . Then there is vegetable curries with cauliflower rice. I have had a lot of time on these pages and will use all the knowledge I have picked up. Onwards and downwards

summerseeker replied to mgigi's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Isn't that a wonderful NSV Enjoy your well earned vacation -
I have itchy legs and bumpy skin. I never thought not eating enough protein was the cause. I blamed washing powders and soaps. Who knew. Every day is a learning day. Cheers

It varies if you read enough of these posts. One lady had 12hours fasting. Lots have1 or 2 weeks. Mine is 3 weeks of 3 pints of milk, two veg meals and 2 pieces of fruit . I can also have coffee. One person, I read had 4 weeks of slim fast only. Every doctor has their own 'recipe' Please let me know how you get on -

On my 2 week pre op liquid diet
summerseeker replied to Philophobia's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hello Lady Godiva, To try and answer your question, I believe blood tests will tell if your liver is small and non fatty. I think this is what they are after. So leaving off fatty carbs and sugar should get you there If my surgery date doesn't move back again, early next month, I will begin 3 weeks of skim Milk, non carby vegetables, 1 yogurt and two pieces of fruit a day[ any fruit] . Thankfully I can have coffee with caffeine too. I am worried about the length of time that I need do this but I want this surgery over and done with so badly I would probably do longer -

Don't know what I should be doing
summerseeker replied to Jue's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
You need information quick, So much stuff is not getting done because of Covid in this country. You will need to be proactive and wade through the receptionists. Start with your own doctors surgery, Other options are ringing the hospital you had your surgery and ask for your surgeons secretary. Be insistent and say you have been left without follow up treatment or information. Last option ? Call 111. You should always be given a 6 week follow up appointment when you leave hospital. Covid is no excuse -
Finally making myself the priority!
