    Today Breakfast=nothing (had stomach issues for most of day) Lunch=Homemade Nachos w/ Bean Dip, Taco Meat, Cheese, Sour Cream & Salsa Dinner=Tomatoe Soup w/ Crackers No Exercise Either!
  2. Has anyone out here had a rotator cuff surgery or any other orthopedic surgery since being banded? I find out next week but it looks like I might need surgery done on my shoulder. If so, did you leave your band as is during the surgery and after the surgery or did you have an unfill? Any advice would be appreciated.

    Is this normal?

    Yeah......I find that I float about 2 lbs overnight. I feel like I am stuck though at my current weight and it is not moving down. I guess it is just a plateau and I am trying to take the advice I have given others which is to be patient with it! LOL

    Today Breakfast=Coffee w/ Sweetnlow, half/half, EAS Protein Shake Lunch=nothing Dinner=Homemade Nachos with Tortilla chips, Frito bean dip, taco meat, cheese, sour cream and salsa Snack=part of a Hershey chocholate bar:eek: NO Exercise today, because I went to high school wrestling event:frown:

    Do you regret getting your band?

    My sister had a bypass while I recently had the band. I am very happy so far even though I get frustrated with the slow weightloss. My sister had tons of loose and sagging skin. I don't think that I will have near the amount she has, etc. I am very happy with the band. It is still work but it is worth it so far. No major issues or complications or complaints other than the ones you read out here about (i.e. hair loss, sometimes too tight, PBing, etc). Good Luck!

    ?'s on SEX POSTBAND - NEED 2 KNOW ...

    I can't remember exactly but it doesn't seem like it was too terribly long (within the week) to get back to normal activities including intercourse. I think maybe the next week I was back up in action (LOL!). Definitely not the first few days because you will be a little sore etc. I had a pain medicine ball too for a couple of days. Good luck!

    AGree with the WALKING....it might hurt a bit but in the long run, it makes you heal so much quicker. Good Luck......

I too have hit a bit of a plateau of sorts....I have been hovering around the 175-178 lb range for over a month now and yet working out almost 6 days a week with walk/jogging at least 2 miles a day. I try to eat around 1100-1200 calories. Its frustrating but I am going to try to hang in there in hopes that maybe I am converting fat to muscle? I don't know but urgh it is so irritating isnt it?

    Today Breakfast=Coffee w/ SweetnLow,Half/Half, EAS Protein Shake Lunch=Homemade Nachos with 2 Tbl Frito Bean Dip, 1/2 Cup Taco Meat, 1/3 Cup Cheese, lil bit of sour cream & salsa Dinner=Soup at Hand Veg Beef, Special K Protein Bar (choc/Peanut butter) Snack=small piece of fruit cake Total Calories before Exercise=1,156 Exercised=Walk/Jogged 3.25 miles burned 440 Calories--I actually ran 2.75 miles without stopping which is my longest distance so far!:thumbup:

    Today Breakfast=coffee w/ Sweet-n-Low & Half/Half, EAS Protein shake Lunch=Homemade Nachos with some chips, taco meat, cheese, sour cream & Salsa Dinner=EAsy Mac Single Serving, Kellog's Special K Bar Snack= Hershey Kisses and handful of Cashews Exercised=Walk/Jogged on Treadmill 2.5 miles and burned a little over 300 Calories

  15. I didn't have a high enough BMI either yet I knew I was unhealthy and needed the surgery. I was self-pay but DID NOT SHOP AROUND. I am very happy with my surgury but probably pay too much money. I would shop around and check the forums and ask other bandsters in your area who they recommend etc. It was the best thing I have done in my life and I am not even halfway to my goal. However, I feel so much better. I paid cash for my surgery but I would be willing to finance it had I not had the cash!

    I give up!!

    I was self pay as well and it was the best thing I have done for myself. I didn't finance any and paid cash but if I had to do it over again, I would. Your health is well worth the interest paid versus the healthcare being obese will cost you out of pocket and lifewise.

Chile Relleno (beef), 1/2 Cup Pinto Beans, 1/2 Cup Spanish Rice Dinner=1 Bratworst and 1/2 Cup of Ranch Style Beans (some came up though?) Daily Totals Calories=1,311(before exercise) Carbs=123 Fat=55 Protein=70 Exercised=Walk/Jogged on Treadmill and burned 315 Calories today

Breakfast=EAS Protein Shake Lunch=Whataburger Taquito minus the tortilla so just the insides (egg, cheese & sausage) Snacks= Snack Size bag of Cool Ranch Doritos, Snack Size bag of Cheese-Its, 1/2 of a brownie :thumbup: Dinner=At Chuy's in Dallas! chips/salsa/queso, 1-Chile Rellenos (cheese w/ TexMex Sauce), 1/2 serving of refried beans, 1/2 serving of rice, 1 Margarita on Rocks:frown: Exercised=Burned 300 calories walk/jogging 2.5 miles

    Today Breakfast=Starbucks Grande Mocha Lunch=Nachos made at home with taco meat, cheese, a bit of sour cream and salsa Dinner=Pinto beans w/ Taco Meat & Cheese Snack=Sugar Cookies Exercised=2.5 miles walk/jog on treadmill and burned over 300 calories Have not exercised in 4 days so it feels good to be getting back to the norm
