Hi all. I came home a few hours after my procedure today, but those of you staying overnight, pack a heating pad!! I never get gas pains from laparoscopic surgery but this one was pretty intense with abdomen, sternum, and back pains from the gas. The heating pad helps to break that up. Just a tip for ya’ll. Thanks. -

Don’t get discouraged. I had a friend who went on vacation right before and was bad at prep. Her doc could tell but he still was able to do procedure. Hang in there.. -

Good luck tomorrow! I just keep telling myself it’s all about getting through tomorrow, then the liquid phase, then purée.. trying to take this journey in chunks! -

Surgery tomorrow morning at 7:00 a.m.! I’m a ball of nerves. I’m so scared about it not getting completed and paying all this money for nothing. I know it’s so rare that happens but I’m just nervous! -

They said 3 weeks of purée diet following the 1 week liquid. -

Scheduled 4/6.. only had to do 3 day preop. I stocked up on liquid protein, sugar free jello, popsicles, broth, and Gatorade for the post op liquid diet, which is 1 week for me.
