Does anyone else feel uncomfortable when someone talks about how much weight they've lost? Or am I the only weird one? 😜I haven't had surgery yet (4/8 is the day, yay!) but I've lost about 35lbs through the pre-op process. I personally don't like people focusing on my size even if it's to compliment me on losing weight. I especially hate when they say something about how I'm looking good now. It makes me feel like I wasn't good enough before? Did they think I looked terrible before? I mean, I'm still the same person and I feel a persons worth is tied up in so much more than their physical appearance. And while I am having the surgery to lose weight I'm doing it for myself, not to fullfill anyone's expectations of what I should or shouldn't look like. Maybe I'm just too sensitive about my weight, I don't know

One time I had a lady at work yell out across the room asking me how weight I had lost. You can imagine my mortification.

Thats good that you stand up for yourself. Sorry about your divorce?? I put question marks because for some it's a good thing.

That's true, I guess I'm more offended because people have actually told me I'm looking good NOW or I'm looking good again. That comment was based on previous weight loss attempts, of course I ended up gaining it all back plus more. I might tell people how much I've lost, but that's a big might. I definitely don't tell them how much I weight though. Don't want them doing the math either, lol.

Same here. I'm on full liquid diet. First couple days, nothing. I didn't feel constipated either I just hadn't had a BM. I have been drinking couple oz of light prune juice in the morning and evening. That's helped, at least I go once a day. My dr also said milk of magnesia would help. Not sure if that's something you can drink.

My dietitian told to add low fat milk to yogurt to thin it out. I also found Kroger brand carbmaster protein smoothies that are pretty good, they're low cal, low fat, low sugar, low carb and have 12 grams of protein. Of course, always go by what YOUR surgeon tells you.

My surgery is also 4/8! I've been on full liquid diet since 3/25, I'll have to do 2 weeks of full liquids...first few days were HARD but I'm kind of getting used to it now.
