Yes initially I felt the same way. It does pass overtime as the body adjusts. Just focus on good nutrition and vitamins and try to get in steps each day even just walking around the neighborhood. Best of luck to you and believe me, you've got this!

Any March 2021 Sleeve Patients?
Lorey_a replied to LoveSimcha's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am currently down just over 70lbs. I am now averaging loss of approximately 1-2lbs per week and some weeks none. Still have about 20lbs to go. -

I drink black coffee and was never told anything about quitting. After my surgery I did start to drink coffee but just one cup. I did notice that I was feeling a lot of anxiety but think it was my body dealing with so many changes. I switched promptly to DeCaf and then Half Caf for about 3-4 weeks. After that I was full caffeine and I have two cups every morning without any issues. As far as getting over the fear of the surgery I really had to think through the realities of what I was dealing with because of being overweight (which was not a life long issue for me). Most of my adult life I maintained good weight with regular excercise and then BAM I stopped working out and used food as a way to deal with things in life and was terribly depressed. Thereafter I had diabetes, NASH and sleep apnea to name a few. Being overweight started for me in 2015 and it was the longest 5+ years of my life. Shows how truly damaging being over weight can be to the body in general. I have no regrets and am grateful for all the support I received during my decision process on this site from all the amazing people. We all share so openly here. I am down 68.2lb since my surgery. I still have about 26lbs to go before I hit my goal weight but I know I can do it! I feel so much better about myself, about life in general and enjoy doing things again. Wishing you the best of luck!

Any March 2021 Sleeve Patients?

Had my surgery on 3/31 and as of today I am down 68.2lbs. I have struggled with finding food terribly appealing and get full fast. I have carbs now and again but find I get full even faster that way and I know they are empty calories so I keep it limited -

Was wondering what everyone that had March 2021 surgeries have lost thus far? I have stayed consistent in weekly loss and just this week found that I gained .9lbs. Currently I am down 52lbs and still want to lose at least 30lbs more. If you don't mind sharing your experience I would appreciate it!

You look great! Congratulations

Good info so I guess I can attempt to take the pill as is.

At what point were you able to start swallowing pills without grinding them up? I am still doing that and am curious at the timeline everyone else may have experienced? Any issues once you did?

You look great!

One glass of wine....
Lorey_a replied to Hopefulin2021's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am going to be attending a family funeral next week and will be 4 weeks post-op. Just saw my surgeon and he said its not an issue if I have a glass of wine. I would agree that maybe test it out at home to see if you tolerate it before drinking in a social environment. -
Currently once a week, every Weds.
