Hello everyone,
I go in for gastric sleeve surgery tomorrow morning so if anyone could just think of me and send some good vibes my way - I'd be grateful! Thank you.

Thank you very much for all your sweet messages!
To my surprise, I had a bit of a tough time after surgery. My heart was racing and I felt dizzy and faint. Turns out I was struggling with hydration. So the doctor let me drink whatever I wanted just to get and keep fluids in.
Three months later - I am well. The good news is that I've been able to keep off 23 lbs. The difficult part is barely losing 8 lbs. post surgery (3 months ago tomorrow). I'm a bit disappointed because the doctor was suggesting I would lose weight very quickly but my BMI was barely 36 when I started. I still suffer from hypertension but I figure well if I continue to lose 2-3 lbs per month then slow and steady I will win the race.
I don't understand how some of us with poor eating habits (I'm a grazer and with three young kids it's easier to grab the quickest carb snack which I still love) are supposed to flip the switch and become a health and fitness guru. My mind is having a hard time adjusting. I do have some additional support such as a nurse, dietician, psychologist.
On top of that I purchased some really beautiful clothes that I thought would fit me by now...but I'll have to wait and work a while longer.
In any case, I wish all of you wonderful people good health, success, happiness, smiles and sunshine!
xx
