good advise

how much of a fill did you recieve??? was it under video flouroscopy or did you drink a liquid to see how fluid was moving through or did the doctor arbitrarily just put a limited amount of fill in like .5cc or 1cc. just curious. my sister was seeing a US surgeon who only filled or adjusted her band with small bits of fluid at a time and she did not loose much weight very quickly at all. Untill she went to a separate fill doctor who just specializes in post surgical treatment/fills or adjustments.

hi i am a chiropractor and post surgery fill doctor in boise idaho. i had the surgery on a friday and was back at work on Monday. I was moving a little slow but i could do it. I might have been harder as i had a vasectomy at the same time. i think i was mostly sore from that.

dont get caought up in other peoples sweet spot. it should be unique for everyone. hang in there. make sure that your doctor is filling your band adequatly. the weight will come off. sometimes it takes a week or two for you body to adjust and then the weight continues to come right off. just remember that 1-2 lbs a week and/or 8-10 lbs a month is great. hang in there you will be fine. not only am i a patient who strugles with the same thing as everyone else but i am a fill doctor too and i have to be willing to take my own advise.

try taking magnesium in the form of natural calm. you can get it at most health food stores. Not GNC. but it acts as a natural stool softener. and will relax your muscles as well. most adults are deficient in magnesuim anyway.

Metagenics makes a bariatric meal replacement that is designed for lap bands and other bariatric surgeries. you do need to increase the quantity to get a larger protien portion. hang in there

Hi my name is Luke Mayes, I was banded on 11-23-07 in Juarez MX my surgery performed by Dr. Rodriquez at hospital Angeles. So far i have lost 60 lbs. So glad i did the surgery after years of struggling with weight loss/gain. i can now say i am seeing permanent results. I am so happy with the lap band that i decided to offer post care adjustments and fills at my office in boise.
