About 3 weeks ago, I started having intermittent pain in my left side...just below my ribs. I also have a hard lump there too (port?). At first, I thought I had an ovarian cyst...after a few days, I don't think that is the problem. I started noticing that I get the pain and a hard lump after I eat. I'm not running a fever nor have I had nausea. Has anyone else this problem?

I have lost 22 lbs since 31 May...had my surgery on 2 July. My weight is "stuck" on the scale, but my body seems to be melting. Must be the lack of carbs...keep going into ketosis.

Whatever, I would like to say that I had to fight "tooth & nail" to be approved; however, my process was so fast, I could hardly absorb it all. All I really did was explain to my PCM why I wanted the procedure and she agreed that it would be a good thing for me. From start to finish, my whole process was about a month and a half. Now, I do have fibromyalgia, thyroid issues, a bad knee and an embarassingly high BMI of 46. Good luck to you and if you are denied...appeal, appeal, appeal.

Hi! I'm prior enlisted, currently Civil Service and my husban is AD Air Force. We are currently stationed at Dyess AFB in Abilene, TX. He and I met at Malmstrom AFB, MT and have been stationed at MacDill AFB, FL and Fairchild AFB, WA. I have one human child and two canine children. I was banded on 2 July and I've been doing great so far. I'm scheduled for my first fill on 14 August and to be honest, I'm a little bit scared.

Hi, I'm a newbie. I've never posted a thread...though I've read many. I'll try not to mess it up too bad. I'm going to be banded on 2 July in Wichita Falls, TX by Dr. Warnock? Has anyone else been banded by him? It has all been a whirlwind for me. I decided that I wanted to be banded the middle of May and I had my first appt 31 May. Just a few days later, I was told that my insurance had approved me for the procedure and then I had a surgery date for a month later! After reading some of the posts here, I feel that I am quite fortunate for such a fast turn-around.
