I went to Mexico to Dr. Kuri for surgery an I have my fills done at columbia presbyterian hospital. I pay $165 for fills.

Ok I am really nervous I was banded in august and yesterday I had a virus which made me dry heave 3 times I tried everything I could not to throw up. Today I have a sharp pain in my stomach that really hurts right where the band would be. Does this mean I hurt the band or do you think it is just sore? I am really nervous please any help would be appreciated.

I too went with Dr. Kuri he was great I went by myself from NJ. and everything went great. I had it done on August 19 and I have lost 34 lbs. I feel wonderful and I would do it all over again.

I was also banded in Tiajuana. At hospital Angeles by Dr. Kuri. It was a really good experience. I went by myself and Everything went well. I am glad to hear that you also had a great experience. My friends and family were really upset about the Mexico part so they thought if noone went with me I would chicken out and not go! They forgot one thing I am very pig headed and when I want something I that bad I will get it! I spent 2 nights in the hospital and then the Dr. had a beautiful hotel he uses for 2 nights and that was included in the price.:biggrin:

I did It i was banded on Aug 19th and I feel a little sore but, other then that I am feeling realy well. I went to mexico with Dr. Kuri and I couldnt have had a better expirience anywhere! He was great as well as his staff I was lucky enough to meet a lot of bandsters while there, they were a great support and inspiration. Just had to to post taht I can't believe I did it!!!!:biggrin::thumbup:

I am going on Monday to Mexico. My reason is because I do not have health insurance and it is much cheaper there...

Ginaj I am going to be banded on the 19th in Mexico with Dr. Kuri. Where are you having it done?

I will Be banded by Dr. Kuri on Aug 19th.. What is your surgery date maybe we will be there at the same time.
