Does anyone have experience with Type 1 Diabetes and weight loss surgery? :confused2:
-
How was your surgery. Is everything going okay? Did you have any complications from the T1 diabetes?
-
Should people barely over 200 lbs or below 200 get Lapband or any WLS...?

Hi, I live in Virginia also. Please tell me who and where your doctor is. Thanks,s -
Hey, how did your surgery go? Has it been difficult to control your sugar? Any bad lows?
-
Migmom, Wonderful, Please let me know how it goes and who your Doctor is. I need to find one who will do it. I have only gained more and more weight since I got on the pump 7 years ago. Now, it is almost impossible to control my sugar at this weight. Most people think I am a type 2 diabetic. I have had it for 30 years. I have always been chunky, a size 10-12, but now am huge at 210 lbs. I don't have any energy. Please stay in touch!!!

No one questions if you are ugly enough for plastic surgery. If you can pay for it and willing to take the risk then you should be able to get it. Insurance should cover anyone who's health is being effected by the excess weight. To set a weight as a cut off point is crazy. Every individual needs to be evaluated by a doctor!
