  1. Happy 46th Birthday renee34!

  2. 3 years has passed since you registered at LapBandTalk! Happy 3rd Anniversary renee34!

  3. Thanks for the info. I know I haven't been taking in as much water as I should. It is so hard to drink that much. Good luck to all of you on your weight goals.
  4. :confused2: Hi. I recently had lapband surgery (June 16) and lost 16 lbs within the first week. A week after surgery, I went for my follow up appt and the doc put me on mushies. After a week of mushies...I began to eat meats (tuna & chicken) and veggies. I have done fine...no nausea or anything. My tenderness around the incisions is getting better but I have noticed a small bubble or knot just under the left side of my ribs. It hurts to laugh, cough, or take a deep breath. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this.
  5. Hi. I am new to laptalk and called myself looking for related issues but had no luck. I recently got banded (June 16th) and was wondering about the diet and excercise. I went back to my doctor a week after surgery and he put me on mushies and told me just to slowly work the meats and veggies in as I felt comfortable doing so. I bought protein shakes but I find that it is so filling that I can't drink it all. I haven't had my first fill yet...that comes July 29th.

I am a little concerned...my incisions have healed fine, however, I have a pain just under the left side of my rib cage...it hurts to take deep breaths, laugh, etc... I feel a knot and it is very tender there. Have you read of anyone having this type of problem? As far as eating goes...I have been able to tolerate most everything in moderation (no nausea) of course. No breads, pastas or rice and have not ate beef as of yet.

    Need advice in Florida

  6. Hi Heather. My name is Renee and I read your post. I had my surgery June 16 in Florida. I had my follow up appt. yesterday and the doc gave me the go ahead for soft foods such as eggs, mashed potatoes, yogurt, protein shakes, etc. Next week, I will get to go to chicken, flaky fish, tuna and try new things gradually to see how my new pouch responds. I will not have my first fill until July 29. I have lost 16 lbs so far.
