I had realize band surgery 8-09..I still have about 45lbs. to go until I reach my goal. I seem to keep going up and down on the same 8lbs. and it's getting very frustrating. Does anyone have any meal plan suggestions?? I've changed my exercise routine some, but I gained 3lbs since last week, but probably by next week will lose that 3lbs, but can't seem to lose anymore..help!!

Thanks..I am at a point at which I was around this weight for quite some time at one point years ago...hopefully I'll get out of it soon. If you have any meal plan ideas, etc for meals that would be great also. Have a good day!!

My surgery date actually ended up being Sept. 9, 2008. I'm having the realize band. Has anyone else had this particular procedure?? :thumbup:

I'm being banded on Tues. yeah....with the realize band. I was just wondering if anyone could give me an idea of what to expect directly after recovery, and how you first felt?? Thanks

I told someone yesterday...I also two weeks pre-op. I am allowed to have mashed potatoes and eggs with cheese and salsa. Just have to keep my cal. around 1000. Check with your doctor, you may be allowed to do the same. It doesn't seem as bad then. Good luck...

I had the last supper going on also. My surgery is 9-9. I had gained 7 lbs. since May when I went to see my surgeon 2 weeks ago. My liquid diet starts tomorrow officially(8-26) but because of my weight gain, they put me on it two weeks ago. Just told me to up my portions some, which I did. So...I've been doing liquid during the day, but eating supper (just moderately) until tomorrow. It has worked though, because I haven't felt completely deprived. And.. I have lost some of the pounds I put on. The bariatric nurse told me as far as liquids, to go by the "stage 2" diet but that I could also have eggs with cheese and oatmeal.

Did anyone gain weight pre op?? I was weighed in May, and I've gained 10lbs since then. My surgery is in Sept. and I meet with my surgeon tomorrow, and I'm so nervous he will turn me down. I have been working really hard, but I still gained..help....

sorry, I just seen your message. I'm getting the realize band in sept. in Christiansburg, Va. My surgeon is Dr. Chavis. Sept. is when they will beging the realize band so I will be one of the firsts. How are you doing?

I'm so excited!! I called my ins. last week, and they finally approved my surgery for 8-29-08.. Any words of support?? I'm afraid I may have gained a few pounds since I was last weighed. I know when I start the full liquid diet I will lose some, but was wondering if I should start it a little eary?? Do you get weighed again before surgery?? Was the liquid diet really hard to do before surgery??
