Never hungry? I wish I had that problem. I am always hungry, but I refuse to eat more than twice a day. I also consume lots of protein at both meals. I lost 28 lbs in 3 months. For some reason, my doctor is on leave and I haven't been able to get a fill, but I have an appointment, at the end of the month. I hope that helps with me feeling hungry all the time. I am pretty much able to eat everything except bagels, scrambled or fried eggs, and kale, other than that - I am good. I haven't had rice in 3 months, but I am not sure if it will make me sick.

Hi, I had my surgery on March 17th and things have been going well, except when I eat something that makes me sick. I had eggs one day and I did try 1/2 toasted bagel and the pain knocked me out for the whole day. I spent half the day in the restroom and the other half in bed. Whether I stand, sit or lie down - the pain does not go away. Does anyone else have this issue? I can’t predict what is going to make sick - but I can’t eat something and then spend the day in bed?

Never thought of having hard-boiled eggs. I might have to try that and see what happens. Thanks!

I had eggs 3 weeks after surgery and I didn't feel well for two days. I will try them again next week and see how it goes.

What foods do you have to avoid with the Lapband?

My biggest issue is eating slowly. While i am trying to use 30 minutes to eat - I am usually done in 7 minutes! URGH!! -
I am a little confused. I had lap band surgery on 3/17 and saw the doctor 7 days after surgery and had X-rays taken and she said everything looks good and scheduled my next appt 3 months out. I thought the doctor was supposed to tighten the band. Am I wrong? So far I haven’t had any issues and lost 24 pounds since I scheduled surgery. The two weeks of protein shakes before the surgery definitely helped.

I had eggs and I felt sick for two days. I think I tried them too soon after surgery. I will try them again in a couple of weeks and see how it goes. -

I have heard some horror stories about the lap band, but I had surgery on the 17th and I am down 22 pounds and I don't have any stomach pain or hard time breathing or anything getting stuck (thank goodness). I am eating three meals a day and drinking water in between. I just started eating soft food and while I didn't lose any weight this week, I also didn't gain any weight - which is good. I am sure once I incorporate some more exercise, my weight will go down. I am not expecting miracles - 1 to 2 lbs a week, will make me happy.

I had surgery on the 17th - I also took normal sips, no baby sips (just on the day of the surgery). I had broth, protein shakes, and tea.

I have eaten scallops and cod, while on my soft food diet. I am actually going out to eat for Easter and I plan on ordering tuna tartare and branzino with cauliflower.

Since we are not allowed to drink while eating, is it possible to eat dinner with a glass of wine? Please say "yes"😊
