  1. I’m sorry you have to wait but it’s a good time to practice eating slower/ chewing better, no straws, etc.
  2. I am ten weeks out and I eat pretty much everything the same as I did before surgery. I haven’t attempted steak, rice, bread or popcorn yet but other than that I am able to eat anything. Obviously much smaller portions.

    Not Yet Decided: NEED HELP

I am ten weeks out and have returned to eating almost anything I would have eaten while counting calories pre surgery and I have been lucky enough to not vomit at all so far. I had iron stomach before surgery and I think that is still true. I can also eat more than I should at this point though so it’s not all a good thing. I have to measure my food to make sure I don’t eat too Much because it doesn’t hurt my stomach.

  9. Yea they are definitely not an everyday food but I only crave chocolate once a month and they are way better than Reece’s. Plus a serving size is two cups and I just have one.

Congrats on your surgery date and the beginning of this journey.
  12. Have you tried the chopped lettuce at the store That comes in the bags someone told me that lettuce is hard for everyone to digest and that the chopped lettuce is much easier on our stomachs. So far I’ve only tried the chopped variation so I can’t say for sure whether it makes a difference but I was told that by someone who heard it from a doctor.

    Any April 2021 surgeries?!

Idk what your starting height and weight were but 28 pounds is a great start. Everyone is so much different. But even the veterans will tell you some were slow losers but they still eventually lost it all.

    May Surgeries - check in!

Well for the first couple months things are not normal but I am about 10 weeks out now and I can eat pretty much everything I did before surgery. I haven’t yet attempted steak, bread, rice or popcorn because they are on the list but other than that I can eat normal. I just feel like I eat my husbands plate instead of mine now. He is super thin and fit and I eat about the same as he does naturally.

    Quarantine

I didn’t even have to get a COVID test. I was surprised but they didn’t require it at my hospital.

    TOM/TMI Question For The Ladies

I do not have experience with this but someone else on here responded on another thread that they have mesh panties for the maternity patients and they give you those and a pad??

    Cocktails

I haven’t had any alcohol since surgery but I know what I will probably have. I liked Bacardi and Coke so that’s a no go but I had some drink packets I found on Amazon that are margaritaville flavors that will mix well and are only 10 calories a packet. Its a variety pack with pina colada, margarita and strawberry daiquiri. Easy enough to toss in your purse to mix up while on the go if you wanted.
