My husband was just hugging me and he said wow there isn’t as much to grab onto anymore. 👍 -
Weirdest None-Scale-Victory - I'll go first

accidental post. -
I have to eat much slower than I did before but not quite two minutes between bites. Sorry you experienced this. So far I have not vomited since surgery but I’m sure I will do Something my new tummy dislikes soon. It’s probably better that you are now like this. For the long term goal of keeping the weight off, I mean, Im sure it’s will be easier if your body gives you no choice but to slow it down.

Do I have an eating disorder?
ShoppGirl replied to ShoppGirl's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Update. I called the other doctors on the list and they are not accepting new patients (they only do evaluations) Does anyone have a doctor that does telehealth or zoom appointments specializing in eating disorders? -
Good luck today.

I forgot that I did bring a 6 foot charging cord that I ordered on Amazon which came in handy since my iPad kept playing Netflix while I was asleep and it would have died several times but I just kept it plugged in.

I wasn’t allowed to shower till day three so I didn’t need shampoo or conditioner. I used my body wash with a wash cloth, my toothbrush and paste, deodorant and chap stick (which they also gave me one of those) I would have loved to have the dry mouth spray but that only lasts a few hours. I brought my phone and iPad and watched Netflix the whole time when I was awake but slept a lot. The hospital did provide toothbrush and toothpaste but I used mine since I brought it. Pack light, your visitors can always bring you things if you need them. I left some things out on the dresser that I thought I might want so I could ask hubby to bring them but didn’t need anything else.

Great job. Keep it up!!

Pants vs. dress right after surgery
ShoppGirl replied to lizonaplane's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I wore men’s lounge pajama pants (they are super stretchy) while I was in the hospital and they never bothered anything. I woke up from surgery with a compression thing on that I wore till I was home that covered the incisions anyways so I doubt anything would have hurt. -
Any April 2021 surgeries?!

I would call the doctor if pain is getting worse. I have not heard anyone say pain got worse. -

Maybe ask your mom to be the thoughtful and prepared one with a ring gaurd on hand so when you “tell her” that he popped the question she can offer up the ring gaurd so you can wear it for a while safely without losing before you have it sized. -

I am just curious what everyone else is doing in terms of exercise. I have a under desk treadmill I got back out today and I was thinking of doing that every other day and then doing crunches, push-ups and little hand weights the off day. I honestly have no clue what I am doing but I’m not quite comfortable going to the gym yet. Is this an okay start?

Congratulations to all the June surgery dates and good luck on your journey. 🍀

I weigh every day but it’s fluctuates and I have to just watch for downward trend and ignore when it goes up a pound for a day or two. It used to bother me but now I realize that when it goes up a pound it usually goes down two a day or two later which balances out.

Have you tried the unflavored protein powder? You could mix it in a smoothie? Or crystal light, maybe. I’m not a big fan of water but I just tried it in water to see and it’s horrible (it’s not truly unflavored) but I put it in my smoothies and can’t taste it. Also have you tried any of the clear protein drinks such as premiere protein fruit punch? You could rehydrate and get protein in first thing with that then eat something that doesn’t upset your tummy. -
Hello vicaria. Good luck to you as well.

Congrats and good luck. -
There is a december thread already. I do not know how to link it but if you do a search for December 2020 you will find it.

Congrats on your surgery date.

I was able to take them the morning after surgery in the hospital but I would still call and ask your dr just to be certain.

Well ideally like you said it will come and go but if not, hopefully if you do have it it won’t be too big of a deal because like others said you will be up and down for the bathroom a lot anyways plus you are supposed to walk a lot as well. I was up and around the room the first night pretty easily you just have to drag your new friend around with you who I named Charlie (the iv) but that becomes second nature.
