I didn’t feel any different and didn’t really even feel restriction until I got to soft foods. It’s not uncommon to sorta feel like now what. According to the nurse practitioner Some people even have a sort of post partum depression after doing all we go through before the surgery and you wake up afterwards and feel pretty much the same.

I was allowed one cup a day as long as I offset it with an extra cup of fluids.

I left out the basil because I wasn’t sure about it on purée but I love garlic so I added extra garlic powder. Yes. It was delicious. I ate it almost everyday through my purée phase and have even eaten it since I am on regular food.

I was going to suggest the same thing. I use Baritastic but I think they are all very similar. It’s super easy to track your water and protein this way. You may be on better track than you think.

When/How to buy new clothes

Maybe ask your doctor if they have a clothing exchange. Mine doesn’t but I have read on here that some of the bigger practices do have them for patients. -

I think that how one treats a waitress is just about as controversial as abortion or politics. I have seen spouses argue over this on more than one occasion. I can only speak to My personal experience and as a waitress I would not have found ANYTHING you described as overwhelming or a burden. I would have thought to myself wow this person is telling me they are anxious and if I don’t turn this around I am not gonna get a decent tip. And I don’t even care if you had asked for a water and then asked me to take it away as long as you asked me politely. (Granted I would have thought you were crazy but I wouldn’t have cared). And I wouldn’t care how many changes you made to the food because I am not preparing it. The only thing I had to do was enter it into the computer. I would have honestly heard you that you were anxious and had some dietary concerns and thought to myself challenge accepted and figured out how to make you happy. Now the fact that your order got messed up twice was most likely the kitchen. Assuming she entered it into the computer correctly and that itself can be frustrating to a waitress cause they can do everything right and still get a crappy tip cause the kitchen messed up. I wouldn’t let this experience cause you more anxiety or stop you from eating out though. Most people i have known in customer service WANT you to tell them exactly what you want so they can give it to you because that’s what makes happy people and happy people tip well and make for happy managers. -
When/How to buy new clothes
ShoppGirl replied to lizonaplane's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I have never heard of it but would love to hear more about it. I have been wearing solid color tee shirts and jeans as my entire wardrobe for years and would like to add some variety now that I am nearing “normal” sizes but honestly don’t know what to buy to flatter my figure at this point. -

Well I think part of it was that the nacho cheese flavor (the first I tried out of the variety pack) looked like cheese balls but tasted nothing like them. They were more the consistency and crunch of croutons but nacho cheese flavored. I also tried the pizza flavor and was not a fan. Then I tasted the desert ones (cookies and cream and strawberries and cream) and for lack of better description they were too vanilla (which I stole from my hubbies reaction (just Blah to me). They do make croutons which I am waiting for a salad to try and I think they may actually be good because that’s the consistency the others had. I will update if so cause protein packed croutons would be a great product to have in our bag of tricks. All that being said, if you are not a consistency person, I would try them because the flavors weren’t bad and my best friend loves them. They have the variety pack (including the croutons) on Amazon. -
I thought about food a lot too. It’s not worth it though. You can seriously hurt yourself. I had extra crafts and stuff to distract myself for the first few weeks because I knew it would be difficult if I didn’t stay busy. That helped me a lot. I also watched Netflix to avoid the food commercials. Although they are always eating on tv as well so I mostly did crafts.

Looks yummy. Thanks.

Update: I went ahead and ordered these and tried them. I do not recommend them. The quest chips are better. -
Awesome. Good for you.

I had it on purée. It’s delicious at that point. Just be careful if your sauce has chunks in it. Mine had small ones I had to get out.

Martha’s Vineyard is like that. During season they bank some serious cash. -

Actually the restaurants I have worked at in college had to pay minimum wage if you do not claim at least that much in tips. You probably wouldn’t be employed there very long if that was the case more than once in a while but they do make minimum wage. Not that minimum wage makes it much better. I agree waitresses work very hard for their money and it’s way too often that they get shafted in tips, But it’s still not an excuse to roll your eyes and mumble under your breath at someone. -
Awesome.

Clothing not fitting the same as before
ShoppGirl replied to TinaRN's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I have run into this too. I notice that I still have a belly that makes my shorts or pants or whatever roll down in a size that it didn’t used to. I’m sure you have less muscle but also fat moves around as we age. To all the WRONG places. Lol
