    No scale?

Can’t say I HAVE gone through this process without a working scale, but I bet it would be a great approach. Honestly the most stressful points were the stalls and not knowing of them would have made it so much easier.
  2. I just realized that my weight and the way it made me feel we’re keeping me from living as my true self. My aunt knew how my weight was keeping me from wanting to do things and she knew someone who just got the sleeve and she introduced me to her. After seeing her success I started researching like crazy and made my first appointment shortly thereafter.

    Approved! Surgery 30 Nov. 2021!!!

    Congratulations 🍾
  4. I was supposed to get mine too but I called gyno and he told me how to tweak my BC pills so that I got it the week before. I have read from people on here that they have pads ans special underwear from maternity that they have you wear though so you will be okay if you can’t avoid it.

    Seasoning?

I used seasonings without any issue. Some people can’t do spicy early out like others said so keep that in mind.

Do you try to finish it later or…

Certain things that are really good I will save and try to finish later but I really had to teach myself that it is okay to waste some food. I was raised in the clean your plate club and that just isn’t really the way to have a healthy relationship with food.

    Newbie here!

Looks like you already got all your answers here but wanted to say congrats on your surgery and hope you are doing well.

    Pantoprazole, how?

I too was given pills in the hospital. Some doctors are totally against it thigh so ask your team.

    Salads

They sell chopped romaine lettuce. That’s what I had without issue.

    Salads

I waited until I was almost three months out. Lettuce can be an issue for some of us. I didn’t have any issues though.
  11. That’s just awesome 👏🏻

    Hospital stay questions

I wore the clothes I wore home (with fresh undies of course) and stayed in the gown the whole time with a pair of men’s pajama pants underneath (since the hospital gown is open in the back). I had similar concerns about a bra and bright a sports bra with me but between all the tubes and wires they attach to you making it seem like a puzzle and just being tired I honestly didn’t care so I never put it on. Also, one of the incisions is pretty close to where your bra band could rub it. I took a small duffel bag with my phone and iPad (with a ten foot charging cord), extra undies and toiletries. You may want dry shampoo if your hair gets oily because you won’t be able to shower right away. I was able to go home the next day thankfully because mine is a hot mess if I don’t wash it every day.

WHERE ARE MY AUGUST 2021 PEEPS?

    Congrats 🎊
  15. Would it be easier with those little bikini razors??

    Waiting period question

All insurance is different. Mine accepted medical records from another doctor prior to satisfy part of the required visits. That’s a question for the bariatric coordinator I believe. Ooh, and it’s six visits not six months (at least it was for mine) so that only takes five months from your first visit. Hopefully that will help. I had one visit with my primary doctor that qualified so I had to do 5 visits taking 4.5 months from first appointment to surgery date.

WHERE ARE MY AUGUST 2021 PEEPS?

    Congrats.
  18. One thing I took that I was really glad I did was an extra long charging cord I ordered on Amazon that charged iPad and phone.
  19. It could also be that you are focused more on water if you weren’t before.
  20. As far as I know you are only allowed to eat what they give you at the hospital. Mine was broth and crystal light. The nurses had water and popsicles and stuff like that.

    At My WHITS END

I agree, if you must go back to protein shakes. I have the premiere protein caffe latte ever morning for breakfast. It does have caffeine though not sure if that is okay on your plan.

    Driver's License

That was smart. Last thing you want is a reason to get held up while traveling.

    Lost

I would ask the surgeon in detail what they will do to prevent clots and then either explain it to family or ask someone to go with you and have surgeon help explain.
