I appreciate your being ao safe in the sun. Both my husband and I are always safe now too. I am just looking for a bit of color with a fake spray on tan (make up) or a self tan tbat I can actually do to myself without it looking ridiculous.

What are your favorite food go-to's ?
ShoppGirl replied to Candace76's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
The meatballs sound good for regular food stage. We’re they easy to make? -
Does you clinic offer support groups. That would be a great place to meet people who are going through or have gone through this process in real life.

How do they pick your goal weight?

I think BMI is even less accurate for men at times. -
Returning to work
ShoppGirl replied to KingKev_VSG's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
My advice would be to see if you can return part time at first. I was fine after a few days other Than I was just so darn tired. I needed to take naps daily. -

That’s an excellent thread but obviously all those foods are not for every stage. Just a heads up just in case. -
Ooh I so hope I can afford to get my boobs done. I have boobs. Too much of them. I got implants when I was tiny but then gained weight and a lot of it went to my boobs. Enough that I qualified for reduction but dr said if he took as much out as required by insurance I would not be happy cause I would be super tiny afterwards. I have to pay oop but after I lose the weight it may just be the right time to do so. Has anyone else used care credit to finance plastics. That is my hope. (I have it from my vets office but they take it at some plastic surgeons offices).

ShoppGirl replied to SummerTimeGirl's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
If you look at the inches of a size chart. There are more increments between sizes for the “normal” sizes. -

How do they pick your goal weight?
ShoppGirl replied to vikingbeast's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Absolutely. If your healthy and happy with the way you look that’s all that matters. Many WLS patients do not ever get down to a “normal” BMI. Some by choice (not sure how many try and can’t). -

On my phone it’s in the top right a little magnifying glass icon. Then you just type in the heading. -
Most dont consider frame size. That’s why it’s such a broad range. 123-164 for 5’8” for example is all “normal” weight.

Food Before and After Photos

Just a heads up Swerve makes stuff EXTRA sweet. I bought the almond flour for the quiche and it had a recipe on back for brownies. I thought I would do even better and substitute swerve for sugar and they were disgusting. Like biting into pure sweetener. Just a heads up if you try using this, at least taste it first and maybe make a small batch of whatever you are using it for. -

How do they pick your goal weight?
ShoppGirl replied to vikingbeast's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I agree. I set my first goal at 180 because that’s the heaviest weight where I am still confident in my body (more comfortable going out and liked my clothes, etc). I think if I reach and maintain this I will consider surgery a success. But my goal goal is 160. -
I’m sorry to hear this. Have you maintained your restriction. If so, from what I’ve heard it’s just back to the basics. Small portions, Protein first, chew slowly, hydrate well, etc.

Did he have a nurse practitioner. They are usually easier to talk to anyways from my experience. If not I guess I would ask to see another doctor at the practice. You shouldn’t be left all alone just because he left the practice.
-
I agree with others. It could be because of solid vs liquid and purée but if not I’d run it by your team.

Laurie C. My dr left the goal weight up to me. There are BMI calculators online. They will tell you what the normal BMI range is for your height but also if you complete that info In your profile it will calculate your current BMI for you.
