  1. I personally don’t eat out much but many people on here do post surgery (a few months post). They just make choices like grilled chicken and veggies or salad with protein and a low calorie dressing (or without dressing). Earlier out soup is the only option of course. You can order just broth most places or ask them to strain one of their soups for you. Your menu will look different than the rest of the family but it doesn’t mean you have to miss out on the family time. It may take a While before you can enjoy yourself doing this though because you are probably morning the loss of food. I wish I had advice of how to make them understand it’s just easier for you not to go out right now. It’s hard. I remember my mom not understanding that when we went out for my birthday to Chick-fil-A that even a salad didn’t fit within my calorie budget because their dressings were too high in calories. I have since learned that their vinaigrette with the market salad isn’t too bad. I just leave off the other toppings and it worked. It’s takes a while but you will find that most places have at least one thing on the menu that you can eat. And eventually you will be in maintenance and you will have even more options that you can eat in moderation.
  2. It is pretty quick once you complete all the requirements but many people if they are going through insurance are required to do a 3-6 month medically managed weight loss attempt. It’s just an insurance hoop you have to jump through which requires you to go to an appointment monthly and get weighed but it has to be completed before they submit to insurance for approval if it’s required.

    Lab orders without doctor

Ooh wow you did them very often. Yea I was required every 90 days for my first year by my surgeon and now I will still see the surgeon annually, but if you have a family doctor they ask you to have them order your labs after that first year. Must be nice that they still get paid for a visit every year but don’t have to worry about labs anymore. Really, assuming I maintain my weight, I don’t see that I will need anything from them but they need to record my weight for their statistics yet I have to pay them. If I didn’t have insurance I probably wouldn’t go at this point but I think it still may help me with accountability to some degree.

    Naan bread

Apparently this is not new but I just seen it at Starbucks in their protein meal so I looked into it a bit and the calories and carbs seem comparable to regular bread but it has 4g protein and 3g fiber in a serving. I don’t have any regular bread to compare but I don’t recall it having protein. Just wondering what others think about it. I had to try it but I only ate half a serving with some hummus and that was more than enough. It’s pretty filling. It tastes delicious.

    Lab orders without doctor

Ooh I do still get labs done. I will annually forever as far as I know. I just go through my family doctor ordering them and my insurance pays the majority of the tests so I don’t need to pay a third party website to order them especially since that means insurance won’t cover the tests.
  7. Some bariatric surgery centers host clothing swaps. Mine doesn’t unfortunately but I have heard of some that do.

    Gas and bloating

Although it’s not as common as constipation this is not the first time I have heard of this. I am not sure if you can take something such as immodium?? I would contact my team to be sure. You can definitely try gas ex for the gas and heating pads some say help as well.

    Throwing up

If it’s your vitamin there are things you can try such as taking with food/ protein shake but if it’s other pill that shouldn’t be causing nausea I agree you should contact your dr.

    TMI question 🙋‍♀️

I was told to take colace post surgery by the dr and I had to take milk of magnesia when it had been several days but that worked fine and I went that night. Then I was told to take soluable fiber such as benefiber daily to keep things moving and I haven’t had any problem since. Walmart has generic benefiber powder that is far more reasonable, fyi.
  11. I don’t think I will ever lose enough weight to make my cushion go away there. they do make butt pads though. They are like shorts with pads sewn in. 😂

    Does flavored coffee have calories?

I wonder why they add sugar to one and not the other. They are both hazelnut?? Man I threw out my coffee pot. Is there sugar In the regular coffee k cups that don’t have flavors too?? I really don’t need the flavor. I add enough Splenda to make it sweet. I just bought those cause they had them in stock in a small quantity box of k cups.

    Naan bread

Everyone’s nutritionist has different rules. Mine didn’t go into any amount of carbs that are okay or not okay but they said to try to stay away from them. I have mostly just gone by calories to be honest but I don’t have alot of carbs at all. Only in fruit/smoothies but that’s all natural sugar.

    Naan bread

The one I got at Walmart is called Dippers by Stonefire. It’s 150 calories for 5 pieces. I had 2.5 pieces (yes I actually cut one in half. Lol) with hummus and I was satisfied. I am just wondering if the calories are higher cause of the protein?? I have been eating my hummus with Stacy’s pita thins and those have 130 calories per serving but I usually only have three or four chips vs 13 per serving since a serving of hummus is only two tablespoons so I figured it’s not too bad. I still cannot eyeball exactly the 2 tbsp either but I ordered one ounce cups on Amazon to measure my hummus and salad dressing. I’m still trying. Lol

    Does flavored coffee have calories?

Definitely try it. I don’t even have to drink my protein anymore but have come to like my morning latte so at over a year out I still have it. It does have caffeine though.

    Does flavored coffee have calories?

I did call the 877 number for Walmart and they said they were going to ask the supplier and get back to me about the calories. I just figured maybe someone had some idea.

    Does flavored coffee have calories?

Hummmm. Those look good and calories seem okay. I get 30 grams for 160 calories with the caffe latte by premiere protein. I drink that every morning for breakfast.

    Does flavored coffee have calories?

Yea I’m not a big coffee fan but I like iced coffee. I use so much Splenda in it that it doesn’t matter what brand coffee I buy. I like it with almond milk and Splenda and was thinking that’s a pretty low calorie treat but now that I have it home and I think about it the flavored one may have some calories??
