3 months post op breakfast ideas
ShoppGirl replied to phoenixillume's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I still have a shake for breakfast every day. I drink the caffe latte by premiere protein and it has caffeine in it so it’s like really having a latte. -
Changes in attraction levels from spouse after gastric sleeve surgery
ShoppGirl replied to Love&Light's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My husband started showing that he was more attracted to me post sleeve as well. We aren’t any more or less intimate sexually but little things he does like pat me on the butt or notice when I have a new pair or jeans, stuff like that. I don’t really take offense to it, but I sorta think the same thing as you (hey, I’m the same person inside here) at times. I just tell myself that he can’t really help how physically attracted to me he is or was (you know that animal attraction thing). The important thing to me is that he never did stop loving me or showing me intimacy in other ways no matter what I weighed. Did he still show you that he loved you? We can’t tell you how to feel about it but to some men sex is just sex. -
They never even turned the compression devices on for me. I had them on my legs and they were falling off when I was walking but I guess because I was up and able to walk so well they just took them off of me. If you are not up and about, though you may want to invest in something easier.

Yea, it seems like even if they aren’t set up to do zoom they could just mail you the packet and do it over the phone.

Mixing protein in water or other?
ShoppGirl replied to mrsjo's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I personally buy the premixed ones but many people do also buy the powder. I haven’t heard much about isopure. Walmart has the premiere protein shakes which my team recommended that are pretty good as well as the fairlife ones that I hear a lot of good things about on here. I have tried the chocolate and it was pretty good. My personal favorite is the caffe latte by premiere (it has caffeine though). If you want you could try mixing the powder with milk. It adds a few calories but it also adds protein. If that doesn’t work keep trying. It takes a while for most people but don’t stock up, post op some of our tastes change and taste for sweetness is a common change we have. That’s when I discovered the caffe latte as it is not as sweet as many others that I no longer liked. I am 14 months out and still have one for breakfast everyday even though I don’t have to anymore FWIW. -
These nut butter packets are surprisingly good and they have them at Walmart. Perfect for emergency kits as well as just on the go protein boost. Thanks for the tip.

Do you have to store it in the freezer once you get it home? I never have room in my freezer. Ugh!!
-
That one is way better nutrition wise than the Dave’s killer bread. You may have lucked out that you found that one instead of it’s okay taste wise.
-
Walmart has Dave’s killer bread too. I just searched it.
-
Walmart has it too. It always said in stock online and I couldn’t figure out why it was never there but I never thought of it being in the freezer section.
-
Have you seen the Sara Lee delightful bread? It’s 45 calories per slice and it tastes pretty good. 6g net carbs though.
-
Fairlife is pretty good. My favorite is the premiere protein caffe latte though (caffeinated).
-
Ooh it’s in the freezer section!! I have been trying to find that it’s supposed to be good.
-
If you are still in weight loss phase, Have you tried the Pam spray? I use that for everything and I don’t notice any difference.

How old are you? You don’t actually have to answer that but age may help you in this situation. Many of us as we get older are shorter than we think. I was OVER an inch shorter than I thought which made my BMI just barely 35 and I did have comorbidities. Usually insurance requires a 40 BMI without but you are closer than you think if you are a little shorter.

That was so sweet. My friend bought me a bracelet that says “you’ve f***ing got this” on the inside. You have to know her. 😂
-
Ooh you mean within 4 weeks. Ooh okay. I thought you meant overall. I was like ummmm I think that’s a bit conservative.
-
Like 30 pounds, period?? I think you may have misunderstood that number.
-
Ooh wow. That’s great that you do that. I bet you are itching to get back out on that water. It won’t be much longer. Gonna need some new trunks though, probably.
-
If I were you I would consider volunteering somewhere just so your not board. You got a pretty good gig and if you volunteer you get to make your own schedule.

I need one of those pans for my egg whites. The single serving looks so pathetic in a big skillet.

Is the job in Puerto Rico full time??

I just googled and if you want to make it yourself they even have low calorie edibles recipes online. -
Marijuana Use and Nausea

After seeing that vaping can cause stomach ulcers post op, I second the edibles idea. Have to time it right so it works as a snack too. 😂
