I had my surgery on 3/1 and thought I was hungry but it has been suggested that I'm actually experiencing cramps, spasms, or nausea. Since I'm not used to feeling turmoil in my stomach that I haven't tried to solve with food, I'm confusing the sensation with hunger/tummy growling. I'm working on rewiring my brain to remember discomfort probably isn't hunger. It's so weird!

Anyone else super tired week one or two?
JennaP replied to ShoppGirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had mine on 3/1 and the first week I felt awesome - clear-headed and waking up like a real human adult. Then week two came and I was EXHAUSTED all the time. I think it was in part related to PMS but I also was told by the pre-op nurse that I had to keep in mind that I'd be functioning on 200-400 calories a day and would naturally be tired. I also have heard that the body heals most when we sleep so maybe that is part of it too! Just trying to make sure I stay hydrated - I had one night of super dizzyness and I DO NOT want to do that again! -
Hiya! I am recovering pretty well & I'm getting my fluids in and my protein. I have had cramping & nausea but today has been better for that too. My pain is definitely lessened & I can move and walk and take stairs without feeling exhausted. I actually wake up like normal and maybe take a short nap. I feel like I'm healing too fast...like I should be having a harder time & since I'm not, I think it failed. I'm even feeling hungry. Is this unusual?

Thanks everybody! I realize that sometimes the cramping feels similar to stomach growling so maybe I'm mixing them up. I'm glad I'm not the only person who worries that maybe they *didn't actually* perform the surgery. I'm so grateful that I'm not miserable; I had assumed it was the price of admission.

Hello! I am home after my surgery 3/1 & it went really well! Some annoying cramping and a couple sore spots that flare when I shift, but overall, I am super excited! Thanks for being here & so helpful. -

I picked up regular and bone broth from Trader Joes and some sugar free jello cups from walmart (generic). I also bought some bottled clear protein (like a gatorade but with protein) on Amazon. I am going in in a little over an hour 😬 Good vibes and prayers to everyone on your procedures! xo -
Hi. I'm new & my surgery is Monday, 3/1, at 1p.m. I have been pending surgery since my first date (12/22) was cancelled due to COVID. During this time, I started & stopped the pre-op diet twice. This last time, I had 11 days' notice and I have fairly compliant but not 100%. I had some food funeral moments & then would resume. I've lost about 10lbs on it. I'm scared that maybe I messed up my chance & I'll get in the OR and the surgeon will somehow see that I cheated & be like, "NOPE." Can anyone speak to this happening or not? Thanks 💗

I go in Monday! Woot! Any idea about what to wear? I was thinking a loose dress and tights that aren't constricting (snag brand which are plus-size friendly & not spanx-y). Are bras okay? I watched a surgery on youtube & can't tell if incisions would be irritated or not.
