I start regular food next week at 28 days. Funny how different the plans are, but my Dr is very good, very knowledgeable and update, he does all 3 types of surgeries which I have heard is rare.
-
They test for several things when they biopsy the liver, mine was normal, no sign of fatty liver.
-
I started puree at 3 days and soft foods at 8 days.

Not hungry but I want to eat!!

Yes, solid food, had salmon and veggies for lunch just know. My plan is clear liquids day 1 & 2, full liquids and pureed foods days 3-7, now on soft foods (can mash with a fork) until day 28, can resume all foods after that. -

Glad you doing well. I have pretty much returned to normal, walking 2 miles daily, eat just about anything with no trouble, just a lot less, getting my protein and water in, just thankful everything has gone so well. 2 week follow-up is Thursday. -
Glad to see you are doing well, was beginning to worry because you had not popped back up on here yet.

sorry, that sucks, I got to start soft foods today, funny how programs can be so different. -
Glad you are doing well. I was sleeved on the 3rd, I got to start soft foods this morning, haven't checked weight yet, waiting to do that at my two week follow-up next Thursday. Not really had any trouble.
-
Glad to hear you are doing better, heating pad worked for gas pain, it will move to different spots and that's when I would get up and walk and it would ease it, I had mine on Wednesday, March 3 and I'm been on full liquids since leaving hospital and haven't had any trouble, just be sure and listen to your body it will tell you if you take in too much or something it doesn't like. I been doing protein shakes, bone broth, yogurt, fruit sauce pouches, jello, pudding. There was one day my burps tasted horrible, I figured it was some of the medicine or anesthesia or maybe the gas exiting.
-
Mine went well also, got home around lunch time, besides the gas, not much pain. I would love to fart or belch, but just ain't happening yet.
-
coming your way, we got this, mine's at 2pm
-
Awesome, glad you are doing well. Doing mine tomorrow.
-
I report at Noon, surgery at 2pm
-
We got this!!
-
Mine was originally at 9am, but got changed to 2pm for some reason.
-
Did my preop and Covid on Friday, mine is set for 2pm, I can't eat or drink starting midnight Tuesday and surgery is not until 2pm, that is going to suck.
-
I'm excited, not really nervous for surgery, I've had two C-sections, so surgery isn't new to me, but nervous about the what if's, but I need to do this for me, controlling my blood pressure with a pill is just not what I wanted, I have lost 40 pounds on my own, but it has taken 20 years and consumed so much of my life already, never thought I would go this route, so hoping it all works out for the better.

NO pre-op Liquid Diet...Anyone else?
TLE replied to JazzyJess20's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I don't have to either, all I have to do is clear liquids beginning the day before and nothing after midnight, my surgery is on Wednesday. -
I've got my protein in liquid and powder form, sugar free jello & popsicles, broth, gatorade G2. Just got my sweet some sweet potatoes cooked for when I move to pureed food, can soups, tuna, egg and yogurt. I can't do dairy so having to make sure I have my plant based options ready to go. Mine surgery is Wednesday.

Not really nervous, I've had two previous C-sections, but waited to long to have this done. This was my last resort and just feel like I failed to get to this point, but I have battled this for 20 years, managed to drop 40 pounds on my own, but had to start taking medication to control my blood pressure and that was the turning point for me. Just ready to get started. Good luck to you, will check up on later this week.
-
March 3 for me, no pre-op diet, just have to start clear fluids the day before, come on Wednesday
-
March 3, Just got back from Pre-op appiontment, no special diet until the day before surgery, clear liquids only after Noon that day and nothing after midnight.

March 3 for me.
