Okay gals you're gonna hate my advice: I never NEVER advise anyone to go drastic the first time. I have seen way too many girls burst into tears in the shop and ruin their self image because I or another co worker gave them what they asked/INSISTED on getting.:smile2: If you have reaffirmed time and time again that you like how your face, chin forehead looks emphasized, then I say you are ready for the razor. I usually advise shoulder length, then in a month come back in...it is the shoulder and above that seems to freak people out the most. Getting any over the ear cut is drastic too...I say try a spunky choppy layered cut, try a brilliant red, or sexy chocolate...colors do wonders. I can't imagine my hair being any other shade than red...had it for over 15 years now. The inverted or asymmetrical cuts like the modernized wedge with longer lengths in front are all the rage...you can still keep your length in the front for security.. :Angel_anim: I will say this...if you go drastic and love it...80% of the time, you never go back long again. It is too damn easy to manage. I am a pixie now...it is fab! I don't care about my face shape...my hubby loves it too. I have the crazy rooster/ducks ass neckline...so it sweeps into the center.

I LOVE the naughty, dirty, not PC threads. Maybe it is just morbid curiosity about what others think or do in their bedrooms, maybe I am just extremely bored...but it is great reading!lol and I swallow too...lol. Doesn't affect my band. See my pic over there <~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Geeks are the freakiest!!!:Angel_anim:

I don't mind the questions at all. I am not getting enough exercise, I am sure. Right now it is wealking everyday. I have a treadmill at home. I have backslid into eating more fattening foods, when I get busy at work it is altogether too easy to dial up take out. I need to check out healthier choices. Reading these posts has brightened my spirits. When I don't see progress I regress too easily, and the weight comes back on. I have to make more of an effort...I can see that. :crying: -
More things I won't miss about being fat.
AprilE replied to Wendy B's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Smothering my customers with my tits as I am shampooing them. My back feeling like I am in my nineth month of pregnancy. Being heavier than I was carrying my children for real. Being too big for my work smock..I have taken out all the hems...still no dice. Now I get hair in my underwear and bras. Reluctant looking in the mirrors we have at work because I am wider than my clients in the chairs. Complete lack of stamina...sweating profusely like a pig. Not being able to tie my shoes without making my eyeballs bulge. -
Will I ever feel NORMAL Again?
AprilE replied to rcoleband's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I suppose I am in transitional staging. I DO still have gas, it is almost ALWAYS from doing domething I wasn't supposed to like carbonated drinks or foods notorious for methane emissions...hello cabbage or beans, lol. In retrospect, I don't think I ever really WANT to feel as if I did prior to surgery...this thing in me is a reminder of what I allowed to happen BEFORE restrictions. Do I really want to go back? Hell no. Only downhill from this point on sweetie. We can all do this together. -
Need advice on drinking prior to eating
AprilE replied to Irish76's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have never heard of not drinking prior to eating. They never said a word about it. Does this help you feel full? Can you explain the benefits of this? They just pressed not drinking for 30 mins AFTER eating. Perhaps this is where I am falling short. Maybe I should wait before and after more. -
This is the quote of the year, and sums up my whole bad attitude right now. Wish I could get past this.

How ironic this is...I have to really beware...now I am the extreme other side of the coin. I basically pass rocks if I don't take in enough fiber. Thanks for the story though...at least we can look back and laugh!

AprilE replied to dan59's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I too am able to eat anything, it is really affecting my weight loss. I am getting discouraged. I know the surgery is a tool, but I have not made strides much at all in the right direction. But I don't feel much restriction at all! -
PCOS and the band? Thinking about it and looking for advice from fellow cysters
AprilE replied to Who'sThere's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I was diagnosed with PCOS last year, I am taking Actos and back on the 'ol pill,(which is ironic since I have been tubal ligated,)the meds relieve it somewhat, but i feel that the weight is more to blame for my symptoms now. I don't have menstration without the Actos now. I know it is due to my obesity, never had a problem with this before my weight gain. I quit smoking two years ago, I gained most of my weight since then. Bottom line for me, weight loss will help me tremendously. -

Hello everyone, this is my debut post. I got my banding on 02-20-2008, I am nowhere near losing as the rest of you. As a matter of fact, I am getting extremely frustrated. I have a 10cc band with 8cc filled, only one more to top capacity. I could really use some guidance...thank you.
